I heard this song after the passing of my Father, Mother and Grandmother who all died within a 5 year time period. My grief overwhelmed me and I really didn't have much in the way of hope or peace. I could not adequately express myself in prayer to God. All I could do was cry. This song more than expressed my feelings. It touched on everything I wanted to say and gave me the words to cry out in my time of need. I have heard different variations of "The Prayer" and yet I do not think anyone can truly top this version of it. Honestly I am awed at the harmony and the flawless performance of both singers. They have touched my life and heart and I am truly grateful to be able to experience this song through their voices.
