Okay this is gonna be a yap session: 0:09 I really love that at the beginning the characters eyes look dull and lifeless, with the one that has the blue eyes facing the mirror looking lifeless in both the eyes and the expression. It creates a spark contrast to the other version of themselves in the mirror with the yellow/golden eye. Yellow is usually associated with the sun and positive things, but it’s also linked with hazards or with anxiety. Blue is usually associated with sadness or things similar to that, so seeing each side of them kind of shows the different mindsets. 0:20 then here both of them turn dull and empty, almost like both sides kinda merged for a moment??? 0:21 here is also another show of the color yellow, I think this one is a pretty big indicative of the symbolism with yellow, showing just how anxiety inducing and how it can be a warning, obviously because the person holding the character is doing it by the neck/jaw, with the bandages and bandaids also solidifying the panic/warning. 0:25 then here we see the golden/yellow completely overtake the blue, glowing almost? It could be that it’s kinda like a mania episode? Intense energy and euphoric feelings, combined with the yellow taking up the center, I kinda feel like that’s what going on? 0:28 this also kinda ties back with my previous point, yellow symbolizing the joy but also the warning and anxiety. It could be that they feel completely detached, in a state of pure euphoric energy mixed with the meltdown. Also, it’s probably just color theory, but the blue is slowly starting to turn more dark? 0:32 Here the eyes are purely golden/yellow, showing I guess more happiness and stability? But in the next frame when we see the woman with the yellow shirt and bandages blue appears in the eye, showing that maybe something shifted from being stable and having regular moods,not constantly being at war with each other with two extremes, the eyes showing that. 0:35 similarly here the characters blue eye turns almost black, in my opinion showing the mania taking over, alongside showing the meltdown in a way? The smile is kinda like a hint to how their events of the beginning might play out. 0:43 idk it could kinda just be linked to how the person saw themselves as they came down, kinda horrified as they saw themselves so utterly unhinged. Also, the lyric, “I’m becoming a me that isn’t normal” kinda is similar to how they were acting before, seeing their previous actions as something abnormal and completely out of character. 0:48 here, the blue really turns black/ grey. There’s little to no hints of the color left there, while the yellow is still prevalent but slightly more dulled. The interesting thing is that the eyes are drawn with more scratchiness? Idk if that’s a word, but it looks more unstable in a way. I’ve seen shows and media do this a lot when they show anger/fear or overall intense emotions. 0:53 here both of the colors are lost, no gold/yellow and no blue. This could be similar to the depression after a mania episode is over, instead since there isn’t any blue present, it could be more numbness and lifelessness. This is just really speculative and some things I noticed while watching, I could be one hundred percent wrong, but this is just a silly analysis? It’s mostly focused on the colors/eyes now that I think about it. Overall, really good video!!! Its editing is really good and has a lot of motifs to the original without being the exact same with a different character!!!

The mother was obsessed with the death of her daughter (the girl also had white hair but with the blue uniform and yellow eyes) so she kidnapped Keiko to pretend to be her "daughter". However, because Keiko is also an abandoned child, she completely accepts that role to be loved, and gradually becomes obsessed with becoming a "real" daughter.
