I’m picking up my r7 tomorrow. I don’t understand the hate. I’m a new rider and there’s a ton of traffic around me. If I got a 600cc as my first I would for sure hit someone. No one can drive in my area and it just seems like a lot of power. Also cops would be on me ass FOR SURE. I wanted a chill but fast daily but maybe I’ll upgrade in the future
Just got my R7 yesterday after attending the Yamaha 2 Day Demo Ride event. I rode the R7 3 times and fell in love. Took the bike to the highway for a day one hard break-in routine and went 120mph. I didn't have the nerve to go it's max speed, but shit. Let me tell you what, a whole lot nerve wrecking than my first bike, CFMOTO 300ss.
I rode that little bike for 2 months with only 2 months of riding experience and hopped straight to the R7. A big leap but I learn quick.
Probably the best financing option I made yet. Fucking love this bike

This is great footage although one tip to capture the exhaust noise better is putting a separate mic under rhe seatcowl and syncing the audio in post, its a bit of work but once done it makes the bike sounds 10 times better and cuts out most of the wind noise, it's what i do with my footage, either way tho sweet video man, been watching a your channel and i like your energy 🤙🏾

I used a zoom h1 recorder although any decent one would do the job, you just need one where you can adjust the input level of the sound, just slot it under the seat cowl or wherever the storage compartment of your bike is, secure it so it doesn't rattle and boom great engine noise with basically no wind noise

Is it really that bad? I got my eyes on a new 2024 R7 for 10k but all the R6’s in my area are used and modified I want to mod my own bike from scratch

Funny 😂 I have a similar thing with my gf. She upgraded to a MT07 after having a MT03 to start with. Yet she on a regular basis tries to take my MT09 SP when she rides to work. So I'm stuck with her MT07. And I'm a admitted hooligan psychopath when I ride, so she said if I loop or drop her MT07 she gets my MT09 SP. Jokes on her I'm getting the new Aprilia RSV4 Factory limited with the Speed White livery.

my dream bike is a new R6 but i live in europe so it's not streetlegal anymore, so i bought an R7 but i'm wondering if i should've paid 6K more for a 2020 version of the R6 that's second hand or if the R7 was the better option :p i still dream of the R6 tho
The R7 will never be the R6. You still have one hell of a machine though but if you wanted the R6 you should’ve maybe spent the extra 5
