The way they synced up the fights with the opening and midpoint cutscenes' music was really cool, and honestly the part where Reginn goes in with Gramr and kills Fáfnir is my fav part (but Reginn getting Gramr is a close second, the way her vision blurs with the moon and the effect when she grabs the sword is great)
That ending sounds like a lot possible foreshadowing for book 6. Also the fact that she calls us out for using heroes from other worlds really makes you wonder what we're doing is right. Still amazes me how well these cutscenes are made.
Eitri’s monologue shows that she could have been FEH’s most successful villain if she wasn’t on such a quiet scale throughout Book V. Regardless, her questioning the Summoner if their purpose of using Heroes is any different from hers was positively chilling.
I mean, so far she is the most successful villain. The final map wasn’t us trying to stop her but rather execute her for her manipulation and mass endangerment of the people. She achieved her goals and survival was just optional.
she really had the potential to be the main antagonist of the whole feh, she's clearly the smartest so far (and even was right like when she called kiran out lol), she was the best villain in my opinion
The facial expressions are extremely well made, and that ending really makes me wonder about stuff. I really hope we get a free mythic male protag for the next book, as much as I loved Fjorm, Eir, Peony, and Reginn.
Eitri was such an interesting character, shame she was killed off and we didn't get to see more of her. I found her way more interesting that Otr and Fafnir, there should have been at least one more chapter focusing on her.
She has the ability to seize new bodies, we don't know the requirements or conditions for that... Just saying... death is a bit more optional for her than most.
Can we talk baout how Fafnir was not only robbed of appearing in the last banner, but also robbed of any autonomy throughoutthe entirety of this book. Poor guy. JUSTICE FOR FAFNIR!!

Just rewatching the cutscenes and noticing how much Alfonse actually uses his shield to parry and block attacks. Why doesn’t Alfonse have a PRF damage reduction B skill yet? Like, seriously, he uses his shield a *lot* in the cutscenes
In the cutscenes they made such a big deal out of Reginn using Gramr against Fáfnir but in game they did nothing with it, i mean yes, in story she used it to kill Fáfnir, but they had such a perfect setup to launch an infantry Reginn with Gramr and they completely wasted it :v

The best part of the story in FEH is that the ideas of Fire and Ice Kingdoms, Death land, fairyland, and mechas are ideas that NEVER gonna be in the mainline series. The wilder they are, the less likely they will be. This is the reason why I love Book V. Mechas are so out of the ordinary for Fire Emblem as a series that work only in a gacha game haha. Book V has my favorite aesthetic since robots are so damn cool and Reginn is so amazing. She has a nice cheerful personality that Sharena has but not to over the top since she has deep charcater moments perfect, her design is wonderful and look extremely cute, and she's amazing unit in FEH that has aged extremely well so far. I know many people hate Book V because of the shodder writing but I have enjoyed it the entire time. Thank you for 60 FPS, my eyes are blessed
I wouldn’t count those ideas out yet. While traditionally fire emblem is medical empires, I wouldn’t put it past IS to consider taking an idea used in FEH in a mainline game as this game does seem to serve as the test run.
We have yet to get mechas in mainline but we have robots, computers, cyrillic text, dubstep, lazers, and missiles all in one map (two if you count silver snow's version) in Three Houses.
Thing is the ideas still exist. Considering how much of Fire Emblem is ripped straight from Scandinavian/Norse mythology. Like legit Sutur is a fire demon ruling over the realm of muspelheim which is the world's typical perception of Hell while Hel is Hela, ruler of Hel, the realm of the dead. And that's just touching Feh, all of FE has religious and mythological roots
In order, the realms we've seen are: Askr and Embla [as Asgard], Nifl, Muspell, Hel, Ljosalfheimr and Dokkalfheimr [as Alfheim], Nidavellir, Jotunheimr The World of Steel (our world) probably won't be included in one of the books or will be the last one, but it'd be Midgard. That only leaves Vanaheim on the list

I like the meta feeling from the last monologue. Overall, I liked the JP version the most this time. Probably biased since her VA is the same of Fu Hua (my main) from HI3rd, but still, felt her voice fits the character better, specislly cuz she has a lot of experience with unhinged characters.
Maybe it was just me, but I was very surprised and impressed by the Book 5 Ending. They really nailed down the facial expressions, and the animation was not bad either. It was a pleasant surprise, and gives me hope for Book 6!

The ending and some of the parts for the 2nd half of Book 5 kinda went flat in my opinion. Although I do like the idea of going up against a Kingdom and army that uses gears and technology in the world of Fire Emblem. And the ending, I never knew I could be more terrified of a "little girl" with her expressions and what she says and stuff.

In the midpoint cutscene, eitri is like, all the pieces are in place... and then floats to shoot her gun at Fafnir and when Fafnir gets hit, he's like, owwww.... worst headache ever! Urrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!!!! Then he transforms and is like WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!!!! Then Otr fights Alfonse with the predicted guarenteed follow attack move and alfonse almost gets destroyed thanks to miracle skill and before Otr could finish Alfonse, Fafnir interrupts and is like OTR! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?! Otr is like, Yes... YES! What should've happened was Fafnir lunges at Otr and eats him and Otr being like, No, no NO- gets eaten. Then Fafnir feels like throwing up and the cutscene continues as the entire kingdom gets destroyed and Reginn doing parkour being like, Yeah! I won't lose! Typical quotes like that. And then stabs Fafnir giving him a bigger headache and then he doesn't have one anymore and dies. Meanwhile, Eitri has the my plan succeeded face. Lol. This is pretty much what happened. Oh, and as for that last one with Eitri monologuing, she was recording a video to a harddrive she sends to us in the mailbox after book 5 is over with that footage of what she literally said in that last chapter. What they could've done was put a hidden message saying, I'm predicting the future, and the real villain behind all of this works for a future company called Nintendo, lol. You suck Summoner. Also, the background Eitri is in is a foggy ground for some reason so... either she's in a unknown area with internet to do RUclips videos and whatever social media she uses and is alive or it's a destroyed country that just got annihilated and she recorded that video knowing she was probably screwed. Edit: also, may I add I didn't know Eitri had eyeball machines, did she watch the Sonic movie and make her own copies? Lol
I never thought it was right to kill Eitri, it felt literally pointless other than maybe preventing her from destroying the gate which doesn’t look likely with Reginn at the throne
The story ended up being pretty meh but it had some interesting points. Eirtr's cutscene really upped the story overall though because the ending in game was super anti climactic

Kind of a dissapointing ending honestly. The monologue was cool but it was very self contained. Was expecting some more of that reverse Avengers initiative that Lif and Thrasir are doing, or perhaps even some Loki & Thorr
Man, while the animation quality is still very solid, Book 5 had some of the weakest cutscene spread of the bunch. The ending is especially disappointing, as it's just a loosely characterized antagonist monologuing to the Summoner, a literal non-entity. Probably going to pay off, but I'd probably have had her talk to someone with the ability to react.
My favorite is the first one. Eitri/whatever her real name is is just a bad character IMO. Plus the first one had the best music. My favorite cutscenes are still the end of book IV, with Lif’s foreshadowing, and book II start, where we see everything in flame. But the true best cutscene is that one where Reginn and Fafnir dance. 👍

Im getting more concerned that once weve been through all the realms, what will be left? It worries it might be the end of FEH and honestly speaking, I dont want it to end, Its one of the few games that keeps me going. Unless we get the God of War treatment
In the midpoint cutscene, eitri is like, all the pieces are in place... and then floats to shoot her gun at Fafnir and when Fafnir gets hit, he's like, owwww.... worst headache ever! Urrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!!!! Then he transforms and is like WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!!!! Then Otr fights Alfonse with the predicted guarenteed follow attack move and alfonse almost gets destroyed thanks to miracle skill and before Otr could finish Alfonse, Fafnir interrupts and is like OTR! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?! Otr is like, Yes... YES! What should've happened was Fafnir lunges at Otr and eats him and Otr being like, No, no NO- gets eaten. Then Fafnir feels like throwing up and the cutscene continues as the entire kingdom gets destroyed and Reginn doing parkour being like, Yeah! I won't lose! Typical quotes like that. And then stabs Fafnir giving him a bigger headache and then he doesn't have one anymore and dies. Meanwhile, Eitri has the my plan succeeded face. Lol. This is pretty much what happened. Oh, and as for that last one with Eitri monologuing, she was recording a video to a harddrive she sends to us in the mailbox after book 5 is over with that footage of what she literally said in that last chapter. What they could've done was put a hidden message saying, I'm predicting the future, and the real villain behind all of this works for a future company called Nintendo, lol. You suck Summoner. Also, the background Eitri is in is a foggy ground for some reason so... either she's in a unknown area with internet to do RUclips videos and whatever social media she uses and is alive or it's a destroyed country that just got annihilated and she recorded that video knowing she was probably screwed.
Edit: also, may I add I didn't know Eitri had eyeball machines, did she watch the Sonic movie and make her own copies? Lol

I never thought it was right to kill Eitri, it felt literally pointless other than maybe preventing her from destroying the gate which doesn’t look likely with Reginn at the throne
The story ended up being pretty meh but it had some interesting points. Eirtr's cutscene really upped the story overall though because the ending in game was super anti climactic

I can’t believe I’m saying this but the English dub sounds better.
Kind of a dissapointing ending honestly. The monologue was cool but it was very self contained. Was expecting some more of that reverse Avengers initiative that Lif and Thrasir are doing, or perhaps even some Loki & Thorr
Man, while the animation quality is still very solid, Book 5 had some of the weakest cutscene spread of the bunch. The ending is especially disappointing, as it's just a loosely characterized antagonist monologuing to the Summoner, a literal non-entity. Probably going to pay off, but I'd probably have had her talk to someone with the ability to react.

My favorite is the first one. Eitri/whatever her real name is is just a bad character IMO. Plus the first one had the best music.
My favorite cutscenes are still the end of book IV, with Lif’s foreshadowing, and book II start, where we see everything in flame.
But the true best cutscene is that one where Reginn and Fafnir dance. 👍
