    Beautiful work! I’ve had little experience staining eMax pre-crystallization, as I find it too challenging nailing the shade.

      It is nice to have a bisque shade for isolated teeth and blending. However, with experience, I am getting closer all the time with pre-crystallized addition. Then, if a second addition of colors is needed, then a second firing is always possible.

    Congratulations!! Excellent job! It’s difficult to mix the shades with the glaze together.

      Are you using MiYO? It was designed to mix shades without smearing the shades.

    Great content Doc. Hope to attend your CE hands on this year. Our office has a progrramat Cs6 Oven. We do E.max with speed fire cycle. Would MiYo 850 be used with speed fire on Cs6?

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  Год назад

      Yes, 850 works fine in the CS6

    Wonderful job, this has helped me greatly for my cerec glazing in my office. One challenge I do have is the glaze often gets runny and further characterization migrates on application. Any tips?

    • @KlimDDS

      How are the glaze and colors being stored? Are they fresh every day? And if stored, is there any moisture support, they will run.

      @@KlimDDS I mix them with each use. Stored in their screwable containers and mixed in a painters tray with well.

    Dr. Klim, can you add stain and glaze after you bake the crown without glazing? It is so hard to see the true color through purple

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  5 месяцев назад +2

      Yes. With HT, the more bakes will create more translucency, thereby lowering the value. One thing with MiYO 850, with experience, placing the MiYO in the pre-crystalized phase will preserve the value of the ceramic better, particularly when doing veneers less than 500 um in thickness. That is the point of this video. All the best.

    Why speed crystallization? It’s not spray glaze. Thanks

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  Год назад +1

      Though Ivoclar recommends a speed cycle for only spray glaze, it is all about avoiding bubbling. You will find that MiYO 850 does not bubble, so it is not a problem in the speed cycle.

    I understand that emax could be done in the green stage, and that for teaching purposes is good to have this vídeos, but working out of purple tooth is asking for a mismatch, I've been a dental technician for 20 years and I've done custom shades and many many many crowns, and I can tell you that matching a shade with a pre shaded crown is difficult even more working from a purple color crown.

    • @KlimDDS
      @KlimDDS  7 месяцев назад +1

      You are correct, matching in the blue state can be difficult, at first, having done my own ceramics for over 25 years I get it. Each ceramic brand and translucency have unique behaviors. I have taught ceramist and dentist for years, and the information in this video is a small "snap shot" of what is possible with practice and experience. All the best.
