I do admit her starting a RUclips channel was so much easier then most people as she already had the advantage of being famous and having fans that would watch her content. AwkwardGeekTalk I just mean mainly for some of the young idols who in some cases aren't even 20 yet and some who have only just debuted as well they have an easy time with the start they simply don't get to experience the hard ship that most other good channels have to experience. I have seen the hard ships of small channels trying to grow and then I see these just debuted idols who make a channel easily breeze thru their start up. Like most channels takes 2-3 years to even get 10-50k subs then these just new idols get over 100k subs in just a few days it just makes everything seem a tad unfair and sad and also why I have no interest in every trying to make a serious channel.
That’s why many ex trainees/kpop idols say you should rather start a RUclips channel than try to become an idol. It’s much more profitable and a lot less stressful

When I realized that so many kpop stars have a RUclips channel and then I find videos like this of idols talking about their earnings and views and thought “ Is this why everyone is becoming a RUclipsr.” If I was creative I’d do the same to be able to make money doing what you love, that’s amazing.
Solar works really hard to provide content for her channel Solarsido, and she deserves every penny earned. I also watch all the ads because I hope she can get the money from YT.
They are editing videos and providing all the stuff, like cameras etc. - its fair collaboration and doesnt differ from RUclipsrs having their own editors and management teams. And it isn't like she doesnt earn over few thousand dollars a month. Especially when Mamamoo's contracts are ones of the most fair in the kpop industry.
Solar is still using Mamamoo as her brand and currently collaborate with RBW staffs for editing and shooting. RBW also managed her endorsement and CF works. It is a good mutualism; RBW certainly needs her to push MMM brand further, and she doesnt need to deal with the whole post production and management side of things.
To all who think negatively with solar splitting the earnings with RBW, you need to put yourself in her shoes to understand. She is soooo busy she cannot do it all. She trusta her RBW family to do it for her and there is nothing weong with that. Also, i have a HUNCH that eventually she will have long term plans, like maybe becoming a co-owner/ director of RBW, as she and her group basically raised the profile of their agency. So for her to get their services could mean she is leaning on them and maybe eventually whatever RBW earns, she could have a share too. Just a hunch.

When I realized that so many kpop stars have a RUclips channel and then I find videos like this of idols talking about their earnings and views and thought “ Is this why everyone is becoming a RUclipsr.” If I was creative I’d do the same to be able to make money doing what you love, that’s amazing.

They are editing videos and providing all the stuff, like cameras etc. - its fair collaboration and doesnt differ from RUclipsrs having their own editors and management teams. And it isn't like she doesnt earn over few thousand dollars a month. Especially when Mamamoo's contracts are ones of the most fair in the kpop industry.
Solar is still using Mamamoo as her brand and currently collaborate with RBW staffs for editing and shooting. RBW also managed her endorsement and CF works. It is a good mutualism; RBW certainly needs her to push MMM brand further, and she doesnt need to deal with the whole post production and management side of things.

To all who think negatively with solar splitting the earnings with RBW, you need to put yourself in her shoes to understand. She is soooo busy she cannot do it all. She trusta her RBW family to do it for her and there is nothing weong with that.
Also, i have a HUNCH that eventually she will have long term plans, like maybe becoming a co-owner/ director of RBW, as she and her group basically raised the profile of their agency. So for her to get their services could mean she is leaning on them and maybe eventually whatever RBW earns, she could have a share too. Just a hunch.
