  • With an eye on the 2020 U.S. Open, the West Course of Winged Foot Golf Club, in Mamaroneck, N.Y., will have its greens restored to its original design.

    Nice. I just played a practice round using Links 2003, and the greens can be pretty tough.

    Don’t see the point, surely the fairways change over time as well? Pretty amazing how they are built though

    Tilighast would hate his old contours using today’s modern stimp speeds. You have one or the other, not both. When you have both you make it closer to crazy golf. Why not add a clown, tubes and windmills?

      True... Stimping at about 8 - 9.5 would make Tillinghast greens good, fun, thrilling and playable...but not at 10, 11 or more and more.. Gil H. is a lunatic egomaniac, BS er.

      Thanks James. I don't have any problem with RUclips per se, just the amount of rubbish I'm pushed from USPGA. I need to address this from a different angle but tahnks in the meantime.
