    I check your website and there's no battery for Hyundai IONIQ Classic the 28kwh... Can I install this 12v LFP battery from Nissan Leaf to 2018 Hyundai ioniq classic?

    8:29 Definitely not OEM. Duralast is an Autozone exclusive brand.

    I'm currently having an issue with my 2023 Nissan Leaf where I'm getting the no ev power message - I checked leaf spy and my battery is only showing at like 7.4. I tried charging it with an external charger back up to 12 but when I do the car tells me that my regular battery is dead even though it's not. I'm not sure what's going on I guess I need a new battery

      The leaf, when running, charges the 12v battery at well above 14 volts. Anything below like 12,5 volts is really low.

    Do the terminals corrode on a Ohmmu battery similar to the OEM battery? Thank you for the video!

    • @OhmmuEnergy
      @OhmmuEnergy  8 месяцев назад

      They are brass so they don't corrode anywhere near the rate of a lead OEM battery, there will be a little corrosion over time but not severe.

    The two batteries don't look even close to being the same physical size. What can you say about that, does this battery fit Nissan Leaf 2019 S model?

    Ive got a 2023 leaf and this morning the 12v batt was dead. It was -5c so I pre heated the car. Does it not charge the 12v while doing this? When I got in the car it would not go into reverse or drive and i had a red batt indicator. I checked leafspy and it was showing a blinking red 12v batt icon at 11.5v @ 45Amps!! I turned off the heat and heated seats and stereo and headlights and it went down to 30 amps. I restarted the car and the error went away but leafspy still showed 20-30 amps for a few minutes. I dont think the teeny tiny 12v battery is enough AH for running this thing.

      @OhmmuEnergy  Год назад

      The 12V battery charging isn't necessarily done in concert with anything else specifically, the vehicle is supposed to recharge the 12V whenever it is needed. 45A is not a big load for a lithium battery like this, lithium can handle larger sustained loads.

  • @hondaguy9153
    @hondaguy9153 Год назад

    It's there any risk with overcharging/discharging the lithium 12v? I know it's LiFe chemistry but still.

    • @OhmmuEnergy
      @OhmmuEnergy  Год назад +2

      Not really, the useable voltage range of this Lithium battery from Ohmmu is wider than the vehicle operates at. So the vehicle won't over charge or over discharge the battery.

      You'll have to set your radio presets again and hold the window auto down/up button all the way down for 3-5 seconds after the window rolls down and hold it all the way up for 3-5 seconds after the window rolls up.

      Just replaced dead 12v in my 2018 Leaf. Easily done. Hardest part was lifting the old lead acid battery out. Seemed way heavier than 28 pounds, but lack of handle might have made it seem 5 times as heavy as the Ohmmu battery (the built in handle is a nice feature).
      Also, my favorite SXM radio station was still selected, so not ALL my data was erased
