    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anxiety can cause hundreds if not thousands of different scary stress symptoms. Many of us with anxiety are well aware of the common anxiety sensations but start to second guess any anxiety diagnosis if we notice something out of the ordinary.
Something that worried me a lot was, that most of my physical symptoms of anxiety seemed to only affect one side of my body. For the most part it was my left side. Unfortunately it was the side that worried me the most as it was a sign of so many of the illnesses we with anxiety fear. Heart attacks, strokes, brain tumors and so many more.
It all started with my very first panic attack. I can remember feeling a slight numbness in my left hand of course, went straight to Dr. Google and looked up what could cause such a sensation. What started out as a genuine research and reassurance attempt completely backfired as I was suddenly very very aware of so many illnesses I never really thougt about.
From that day on all I could think about were my symptoms and if the doctors might have missed something. This led to constant stress that fueled further anxiety symptoms. I was plagued by daily anxiety dizziness, extreme fatigue from constant stress and so many more weird and or terrifying symptoms.
In this video I will be sharing my experience with my mostly one sided anxiety symptoms and hopefully you will feel more at ease and can concentrate on the more important parts of anxiety recovery. Which I describe in more detail here in this playlist:

I just want to share my story with ptsd and anxiety here.
I had a minor accident which didn't affect me physically. I hurt my finger and i was shaking. That's all.
A few weeks later severe anxiety started kicking in. Fear of two wheelers and other stuff made it worse. I used to feel heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, lump in my throat, loss of appetite, always feeling on the edge, heaviness in my head, chest pains, left arm pains etc... One day,I was almost convinced that i was gonna die, but then it turned out to be a panic attack. I was relieved it was just a panic attack. It's been a year since it happened.During this period I read different books to overcome my anxiety and did yoga and pranayama.Everything seemed to help but didn't completely cure my anxiety.i have been anxious the whole year till now and even now.
And now suddenly the left side of my body feels tight and heavy and i feel a little dizzy. I searched it up on google and it said I was gonna die. I searched on RUclips and boom there's this video. It felt reassuring.
It's so tiring, whenever a new symptom comes up, it is kind of difficult to deal with the symptom and the panic that comes with it and in turn aggravates the anxiety and it becomes a vicious cycle. I hope all the anxiety warriors gather strength and get out of this vicious cycle.
Also I am gonna add a few things which helped me relieve my anxiety symptoms.
    i) unclench your butt hole. We tend to tighten and squeeze our butt whole when we are severely anxious.
    ii) loosen to shoulders
iii) Try to blink often. I noticed I didn't blink the normal amount of times a human blinks when he is not anxious
    iv) loosen your jaw
    v) try ancient yogic breathing/ dirga pranayama. This really helps
vi) make sure your tongue rests on your upper palate. This helps with nose breathing. We tend to breath alot with our mouths when we are anxious
vii) try reading books like DARE (helps with anxiety so well, it's a savior),BREATHE by James nestor,
The power of subconscious mind and other self help books.
While writing this comment, my left side of the body feels tight and heavy. I guess anxiety recovery is a long journey. There's light at the end of the tunnel. I pray and hope all anxiety warriors including me gather strength and get out of this

When I started my anxiety it started with the right side of my body, then it changed to the left side and never went back to right side. Except in my face. It was the scariest thing in the world. I've had anxiety, on and off, for a couple of decades, since I was 21. I mostly feel it on my left side. A few years ago I read that happiness is processed in the left brain and fear in the right. This makes sense, because the right brain controls the left side.

Every day I over think about breathing, when I get up or do anything my heart starts beating super fast, I always feel detached from my body, my left side is always numb and I have constant chest pains, I’m constantly worried about my heart and always worried about heart attack. I have been to cardiologists and doctors and all told me I’m ok. I have ptsd and extreme anxiety and I’m only 15. I never thought I could get to this point. After an exam ruled that out it became a blood clot or stroke. Today I have convinced myself I MUST have some kind of tumor in my spine affecting all my nerves on the left side. Because I’ve been wrong all the other times , what if THIS is the time something really is wrong? After all how would you truly know if you always have anxiety?

okay, so i wanna share my story in hopes of helping someone like me. i'm 19 and i believe i have anxiety/health anxiety. i got an attack (crazy chest tightness and pain I thought i was having a heart attack or smth) last week when i was not doing anything at all, like i was having fun with my cousin and not thinking about anything bad at all, however prior to that day, i was so stressed bc i was experiencing some random stabbing pains around my abdominal area which scared tf out of me thinking it could be appendicitis and the thought of going to the hospital in the middle of a pandemic definitely did not help at all. so i would wake up in the middle of the night 2-4 times for days with an extra order of palpitations. after the attack, the stress over random stabbing pains continued however i did not want to go to the hospital because it wasn't constant, i feared the virus, being called as an overthinker, etc. then i got chest tightness and pain again. that time it was my left side up to my shoulder then to my arm, back and neck. it was so tight and painful, i also had palpitations. i just kept on thinking "im young, healthy, and strong" it subsided a little but it was still there. i was so exhausted because i couldn't sleep well so my mind and body were tired. i told my mom i wanted to get checked so i got an ecg at blood test. my doctor told me it was all normal and it was probably stress or anxiety, my random abdominal/stomach pains could be ibs and stress is a huge trigger (but im getting an ultrasound to be sure).
my left side, top of my breast, shoulder, and arm have tightness still (which comes and goes) but i'm trying to fix my lifestyleㅡi exercise at least 30 mins per day (cardio), eat well and healthy (food gives you energy so even if you don't feel like eating, eat), watch funny shows, try to meditate/yoga, pray and ACCEPT. prayer and acceptance definitely helped me. i would do my best to think whenever i feel pain "i am healthy, my doctor said i am, i am loved by God, if you want to stay there, then stay. but im moving forward and you can't stop me".
also, something my doctor said to me, "you are healthy. you may be stressed about the pandemic but it's been a year and more so we just have to do our best to adjust and compromise. it's because you have so much time in your hands and stress so much that your mind often thinks "so what and where should this body feel pain for today?" so move, clear your head, exercise, be brave etc. it may be hard at first but you gotta start somewhere."

as im typing this, i am also experiencing right side headaches that would occur whenever im not doing anything, wake up, before bed, or just randomly. but i always tell myself that i experienced this before but i'm still alive.
all these pains and anxiety-stress must have been all those times i was so stressed at school but i didn't have the time to process them so they all bursted when i stopped to 'rest'
tmi but my period is even late bc of stress and i learned that it is actually quite normal so girls, don't panic yet.

    Yep!
    Although for me:
Almost all on the right side....
From upper mid torso to the bottom of the foot ... numbness, tingling, burning, throbbing and itching sensation to varying degrees at various times.
Tight chest, cannot breathe, heart pounding.....
If then anything caused me to stress out, I could feel the cortisol and adrenaline flood into the body and really send the right side into full shut down.
It started going into the face, sinuses, neck and arm.
💯 Of the right side of the body!
Oh yeah, then there are the migraines.....
    😕
    Praying...
Paying attention (focusing on) to my relationship with God is helping tremendously now.
Not all 'healed' yet but better.
Letting go of the past traumatic memories,
Staying hydrated, walking, allowing myself to heal.
    Be good to yourself!

Let me share my story.Since a year I had the same exactly symptoms only on my left side.Severe neck pain, back muscle spasms on the left, pain in my left arm, sudden chest pain and thought I was going to pass out.I literally thought this was it.It kept occurring without any reason. Went to the ER almost every time and was convinced I had a heart disease. All heart tests normal, lung tests normal , blood tests normal , MRIs of spine and brain normal. All doctors knew me personally coz I visited the ER many times. Every single time ir felt like a heart attack.I developed severe breathlessness.Couldnt walk even 20 steps without feeling something wierd in my chest. But guys you gotta believe me, your mind can really mess you up.I just dint believe it was anxiety.Such life threatening symptoms. My wife was pregnant at the moment.I had just one thought I ain't going down without a fight.I wanted to see my baby.I was totally suicidal.I had severe symptoms like , the moment I tried to sleep I could feel a current in my chest and I would wake up.dint sleep for 20 days at a stretch.I thought I was gonna die.But my baby was my reason to fight till the end.I kept crying, list 15 kgs.Was put on benzos. Here I am after 2 years doing 200 pushups, 100 squats, running , doing all kinda exercises. It does happen once in a while in like 2-3 months.Really don't know the trigger point.Keep fighting guys. You will come outta it with the power of your mind. The hardest time of my life without a doubt.god bless

"Before the beginning of this century, Frued and Josef Breuer had recognized that neurotic symptoms [such as] hysteria, certain types of pain and abnormal behavior are in fact symbolically meaningful. They are on way in which the unconscious mind expresses itself, just as it may in dreams; and they are equally symbolic. A patient for instance, who is confronted with an intolerable situation may develop a spasm whenever he tries to swallow: He "can't swallow it". Under similar condition of psychological stress, another patient has an attack of asthma: He "can't breathe the atmosphere at home". A third suffers from a peculiar paralysis of the legs: he can't walk, i.e., "he can't go on anymore". A fourth who vomits when he eats, "cannot digest" some unpleasant fact. I could cite many examples of this kind, but physical reactions are only one form in which the problems that trouble us unconsciously may express themselves. They more often find expression in our dreams".

I phoned an ambulance and got myself checked and everything was fine. Bloods, ecg etc. I was convinced I had suffered a mini stroke and the doctors up A&E reassured me everything was ok. Since then though I’ve had severe health anxiety and can’t convince myself I am ok. I have it in my head that something is still wrong and they missed something. I did the same thing and research symptoms since then I’ve had weird feelings in my body. I get constant dizziness, light headedness and when I go out it gets worse. I feel like I am gonna fall over and collapse like my heart is going to give out. It really does suck and I have had it for 3 weeks now. It’s like I know I am ok but cannot convince myself and my brain. It is like I believe I have suffered a mini stroke even though I have been checked several times. I even went up A&E again to get a second opinion and still it does not sink in.

Im going to get a doctors appointment for peace of mind, and i feel that with eleviate the worry and nervousness about if my physical symptoms are a health concern or not. Its so insane how anxiety can cause serious physcial symptoms.

@@ahsankhan-ty4fu Did you get an MRI? Also go check your heart as well throughout. I would give blood samples too, to make sure you don't have any infections. MRI showed I have Dandy Walker Syndrome, they wanted to operate my brain and put a small tube in my head to drain the cyst from Dandy Walker but I got a second very different opinion by my nerosurgeon he looked at my brain and told me I have nothing to worry about, it will pass on it's own. He told me avoid going under the sun without a hat and sunglasses. I insisted he gives me some pills cuz mine was getting out of control. He gave me 6 pills to drink in 3 days I forgot the name but it actually did help. I think it was medicine to threat anxiety attack so ask your doctor. I do feel some minor things like my hand wants to go numb but I stop it by moving around. Does effect sleep and it's annoying but much better then before. In general try to avoid alcohol and smoking for some time, alcohol specially cuz it can trigger the attacks. Vitamins to drink Magnesium B6, ask your doctor first if it's ok. Hope you recover soon, it's the worst thing on earth cuz there is so many miss information and little knowledge by lot of doctors.

    I had anxiety since I was 13
I have been afraid of all diseases, heart attack, stroke, cancer etc. I have migraines almost daily. As soon as I felt a slight numbness in my tongue, I Googled for symptoms and multiple sclerosis came up. My fears started to build up, I felt so anxious, stressed, and had panic attacks, that I couldn't stop searching until I went to a specialist. I did an MRI, and they found one white spot in the brain, which is evidence of multiple sclerosis. I felt dizzy and sweating I could feel the heat in my veins all over my body. I could hear my heartbeat in my ear the doctor told me it was caused by a migraine, but I wasn't convinced at all. I feel weird on the left side of my body. The strange thing is that I started feeling symptoms after reading about the disease .

I am glad that the video helped. The thing with any anxiety symptom is that you cant really tackle one specific symptom. The overall goal should be to get your general levels of stress lowered so that your mind doesnt have this negative thinking twist. Once you manage to get out of that overwhelmed/hyper stressed state you will be able to distance yourself from the fear of the symptoms and learn to see them for what they are.

Another one out of nowhere just pops up and that becomes the centre of my life. Somehow the symptoms of that new disease seem to be happening now all of a sudden. Like this I have gone through like ten diseases-all terminal 🔥.. I feel that this is becoming a very big hurdle in my recovery.

Hey, I think I made a video specifically on symptom hopping but cant seem to find it. I just checked and definitely talked about it in these two videos.
