I felt guilty listening to the album. I wish Earl to escape the muck, i'd prefer that to having his music, as great as it is.
Just imagine, an article "Earl, two years depression-free, on his new passions of surfing near his Hawaii house and knitting sweatshirts"
Honestly it sucks time off for him seems to only have increased his misery.
With a farm of goats.. all named Earl
I like his music because it’s finally something I can relate to
I think he's finally getting there given how SICK! sounded and the interviews he did in 2021
Come and take a stroll in the mud

I have to say, I thought it was gonna be a 10, but an 8 will do
I agree. Kinda bummed.
Yeah, it was a 10 to me
8 is extremely good for Fantano. Especially considering he likes to hear something that sounds complete and this album did sort of feel incomplete.
It shows he was weighing the talent displayed heavily and ended up giving it a review probably higher than he would've for anyone else.

These sure are some rap songs
This album is beyond beautiful. Every layer to each song gives you a different feeling and leaves you almost feeling nothing but the song itself.

Some Rap Songs has been one of my favourite albums for a while but I started to realise that I would say it’s a 10. And it’s for those exact reasons you listed man honestly that’s a great explanation

I’m feeling a strong 2 to light 3
darth boner uh
Earl sounded like an older uncle you would barely see throughout childhood.
You could’ve gotten through a good portion of Some Rap Songs if you had listened to the album instead of watching the review.
SRS is definitely my favourite all time record by a long shot. Came back to this review like 20 times over the years
Same
I’ve listened to this album approximately 27 times since it dropped
Jacob Ballance that’s like 45 minutes. Not impressed
Jacob Ballance for me at least 1000 prolly more
That’s fucking sad 💀
I dead thought melon was gonna give earl a 5 or some shit
Did you even see his reviews on the tracks earl reselased before the album
Nah dude, it's an experimental hip-hop album, of course it's gonna get a good score by Anthony

A year later and it’s still on repeat for me

10/10 in my books, everything about this album resonates with me so much, I can’t believe I didn’t like it on my first listen...

The most catchy experimental hip hop album ever. So many random bars and flows get stuck in your head
The Tyler and MF Doom vinyls on the wall across from Earl are like his rap parents looking down on him
Where you see Doom? He flashed a few up when mentioning influences but the album below flower boy is Frozen Niagra Falls- Prurient
I thought at first that was "Madvillany" as well. That's "Frozen Niagra Falls" by "Prurient". Now you said that though I wish Melon thought of that.
OH SHIT you right. I misjudged that lmao. Also I've never heard that album, so I guess I have something new to listen to :)
Earl has been better than Tyler for their whole careers imo
How in the fuck could Tyler be consider Earl's "parent"? And that's clearly not a DOOM vinyl. Boy, you are talking straight out of your ass.

Fun fact: this is one of Earl’s uncle’s songs and he did some small revision to it and it’s amazing. It’s pretty much just a second tribute song because he passed away very soon after his father just did recently. Earl really has been hit with a lot of shit in his life man
