So I Bought A Bunch Of Temu.com Pens

- As an experiment I bought 25 pens from Temu.com. I had never shopped there before, but after seeing hundreds of ads for Temu over the past few months, I wanted to give it a try.
I spent about $15 (free shipping) and got pens from Hotoco, Homu, Morandi, and Tanco, none of which were brands I had heard of before, so this was a totally random selection based off pricing and the looks of the pens on the Temu site.
You can search around for yourself here: www.temu.com/writing-supplies..., and all I can tell you is that the results will likely be hit and miss.

I'm keeping my distance with Temu, but it's good to have the information. Thanks !
Thanks for reviewing these pens! :)
Thank you for sharing! I was always curious about these.
I love this sorta stuff tbh
Excellent, keep it up.
this is the content i subbed for !!!
Glad to hear it.
Morandi is/was the name of a singer in my country, nowhere near china.🤣
Please help!!!
I've been trying to get heights of the parker pens am looking for 11 cm or below that for my wallet can't find the heights anywhere... are there any Parker pen below 11 cm? Or 11
I found that some of my older Jetstream plastic pens become sticky. Does this happen to some of your older pens and what is the remedy? These pens are cheap anyways but I wonder what I’d do if this happened to older classics.
This is a major problem with older grippy pens. You can try some rubbing alcohol but if that doesn’t work I’m not sure how to save it
Do you have a link for the Hotoco pen? I can't find it and it looks so good.
Anyone? I couldn't find it on TEMU, AliExpress or Alibaba.
Do a video review of Parker vector rollerball pen in blue and silver
the oldie moldie parker vector?
Funnily enough, a few months ago a stationery/lifestyle store popped up near where i live and they were selling the jetstream edge clone. For about $3 USD…
Considered buying one but realised that there was no guarantee i could refill it
Uyyyr yt
@ElizaSalazar-md2bt huh
morandi are knockoff kacongreen k1015. those cost like 0,50 per pen. Different colors and always in 5pack
Thanks! I am a TEMU shopping fan so this was especially informative. Am currently searching out the brands you featured. Love your videos!
man.. the searching on temu dies not return relevant results for me at all. "pens tanco .5 gel gp9133b"
If you have the links to the products please post them, i can't find them...
Most of the links seem to have expired, apologies
@@unsharpen well, let's hope they will restock at September for the new school year... They looked pretty good and performed really well too, and for a nice price indeed...
Unfortunately i find your video a bit late...
Vewers from China🎉. Actually these pens are not coming from any of the marjor pen manufacturers in China, but some small producers selling cheap pens. And just FYI, a bit of resistence works better in writing Chinese characters.
Thanks for the information! And interesting, regarding the resistance. Very cool how different characters influence preference.
Please continue giving these cheap knock-offs more airtime. Promoting knock-offs force brands to invest in more real innovation and drive prices down that more people can afford ( reworded from the below comment 😀)
😅
All
To the curious, I cannot recommend any pens from drop shippers. They might seem attractive but usually have the same poor gel and ballpoint refills, leak, break- just invest in the actual namebrand pen. You will not get anything approaching the original's quality from a knock-off manufacturer.
Thanks for the note! Great feedback
@@unsharpen Thank you! I think it's important to show people what they're actually getting and to talk about these companies. I had one bout of curious buying and really only had luck with washi tape. Everything else was sub-par or outright awful, especially the LAMY Safari knock-off. Never buying a cheap fountain pen again.
As if there are no issues with branded pens. I ( and many other people ) have found many cheap knock offs that work much better than the originals. For instance those lamy pens.
Temu is big. enjoying your every pen videos.
Thanks!
Please stop giving these cheap knock-offs more airtime. Promoting knock-offs hurt brands that invest in real innovation.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll have a think on this position.
I would think this is a good thing. Let people know what they would get. I was thinking of getting some of the pens and decided not to try after watching the videos.
@@unsharpen Thank you for listening to another opinion. Love your contents. I'd be ok if these pens compete at least somewhat fairly, and make lower-cost products due to production efficiencies, but Temu is known to take advantage of the US regulations by sending avalanche of small (less than $800) packages into the US avoiding US import taxes, while also taking advantages of USPS subsidies given to the e-packets coming from China. The Japanese pens can cost a bit more, but only because they need to invest in marketing and usability research, and years of material science. Please kindly reward the brands that put in the hard work. Thank you!
@@ec572c8f I agree, I love collecting every brand of stuff but these are just made up brands that conceal the character of the manufacturer which is no fun. This video kinda confirms for me that I'm not going to find a second Indian stationery with unique, cheap brands situation hiding out in the dropshipping stuff. If you guys find a way to get PenBBS or Ancient Song FP ink besides Ali or Vanness though do tell lol.
@@unsharpenkeep doing what you’re doing. I trust your opinion.
