Anyone else feel like Garrett is their hockey-dad? He's such a gentle and warm and kind soul, and it makes hockey feel so wholesome and positive. And it makes me want the Canucks to win not just for me, but for him too. I know it would make him so happy. Anyway... it's so, so SO nice to have Garrett after each of these games. I have missed him so much during each game this season -- though its still been the most fun season I have maybe ever watched of the Canucks with them completely outperforming expectations and showing such cohesion and love for one another this year. Love ya Garrett!!
Hes been a treat we need to resign him and besides hughes and hronek hes shown great break put and skating ability out of his zone. Hes built for the playoffs
It's really nice to hear Garrett speaking highly of Brock. I been a staunch Brock defender for years. Even last year you can see him doing all the right things. Being a menace around the net. He's not the fastest, but he gets in on the forecheck hard. He is smart and he cares. I bought my first jersey, and it was a Hockey Fights Cancer Boeser jersey. He's amazing and deserves more praise.
Cheech is so interesting to listen to, even last time when he pointed out those little things about how desmith was handling the situation like cheating to the offside instead of to the players handedness side. Love hearing him and wish he was back commentating
The big men patrolling the Canucks blueline before their current giant era were guys like Bieksa (6'1"), Murzyn (6'2"), Ohlund (6'4"), Tanev (6'2"), Edler (6'4"), and Schenn (6'2"). I don't remember ever seeing anything like this defence corps in Vancouver, skill or size.
