19th UYD (2018): Focus on the Opening session

Mollina (Spain) 10-14 September, 2018.
The UYD is an activity facilitated and coordinated by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe in partnership with the Spanish Institute for Youth, the European Youth Forum and other international youth organisations and youth serving organisations.
Since 2000, the UYD is a space to explore the concept of global development education and global citizenship, to encourage dialogue between decision makers and young people, to advocate for youth participation and to empower young people towards their rights and duties.
The opening session of UYD counted on the presence of the highest representatives from the Council of Europe, INVUJE and European Youth Forum.
