mt Yeah, but is just wet leaves like wet leaves, or have any special meaning in Sheffield, or it's some kind of phrase or anything in England? For me Alex's reaction is awesome and I didn't know if he laugh because Matt gave such odd answer or because his answer meant something else. :D
deathbringerfromsky7 I'm pretty sure he just meant wet leaves. it actually makes sense because in England it rains a lot so there are probably wet leaves all the time and it could be annoying :)
+Alexa Levi They had some tunes they had written but didn't know how to record it, or "cook it up" if you will. I have this great short story but don't know how to put in on page, cant seem to brown the garlic. :)
I just realised what he meant by people “giving you directions.” In the literal sense people are more willing to stop in LA and help you whereas in the UK we can be a little more dismissive/abrasive. But also “directions” in the sense that in LA, a place where pop culture begins, people want to manage you and pidgeonhole creatives a lot more than in England. Maybe I’m reading into it too much.
I am american and I love their lyrics BECAUSE they are "British". It is so beautiful, witty, and refreshing. I actually relate to them more than 'Americans' because witty, creative, and poetic are what I want to achieve in my everyday language and in general.
This is a good interview where both of them are talking. And the questions finally are different and not the plain same old how long have you been together, who influenced you...etc. and alex said himself that hes not good with talking and convos but he still does interviews. Some perceive him has being an artist on drugs, or a super ego cocky angry artist when thats not even the case at all. Hes just being himself. He said himself that hes always been just a lil awkward as a person but thats totally cool. But its understandable that he may look uninterested if he keeps answering the same old questions year long. And its always nice to have matt talk. im sure alex does not mind cause he’d rather just chill and answer along with matt like in this interview then do all the talking and neglect matt since they frequently do alot of interviwes together
this comment should be on top. and yeah i can't describe how annoying it is to find people assuming alex this and that(in a negative way) when he's just actually not at all smh
I like the nod to modern architecture. It's probably the only thing I like about LA. I can understand why he left NYC, but I'm east cost all the way =].
Julia Hulia I prefer his old style, especially in 2010 when he used to wear his blue leather jacket and he didn't have a quifff :) but he's hot anyway, of course, I mean, he's Alex Turner aha.
***** hahaha we like our gravy in Canada too (can't make poutine without it), but maybe I need to make a trip to Sheffield to try this incredible gravy lol
Josh Whitmore YES! that settles it, I def need to try some Sheffield poutine, see if it lives up to Canadian poutine. didn't realize you did poutine in the UK. if you ask for it in the US they just look at you like you're mental
Is it just me or does Alex Turner have that shirt in every color of the visible spectrum?
mjntd and the invisible spectrum
I want to know where you can get that shirt 😂
Only guy on the planet who could make that shirt sexy.

@@benjaminroe1375 you’re awesome for this. Thanks for the explanation

Alex Turner the frontman of one of the most successful modern bands: Cuz we just don’t
Actually like music.
"Brown the garlic"

Yeah, amazing hahahah
And Matt's face when he says that
Alex talking about modern architecture. Okay, call off the search, the vote is unanimous, we have just found the most perfect man on this planet!

Really nice interview, they seem pretty comfortable
again here too 😋
Reuben in a cornerstone yeah, many people tell me they see me everywhere 😜
I listen to AM since like 2012, but I became really obsessed with them around 2 years ago. Why do you ask?
I am american and I love their lyrics BECAUSE they are "British". It is so beautiful, witty, and refreshing. I actually relate to them more than 'Americans' because witty, creative, and poetic are what I want to achieve in my everyday language and in general.
Lorna Drexler same
I love Alex's little laughs.
and I fall even more in love with them
the wet leaves bit is my favourite bit

alex’s laugh at 2:45 is so cute
I like the way alex talking. Very confident, and the accent tho❤
alex is coolness personified
Dat british accent.
i just imagine what was matt helers refering to when he said wet leaves and alex laughed
Lua Abreu wet leaves
0:38 is me too when Alex said "brown the garlic"
i think one of the things that made the early arctic monkeys music so good is that it was 4 lads playing in a room ngl
Alex is rarely so sober=)))
im from sheffield, best city ever!
"I miss graveh"
"And I dont miss wet leaves"
Finally an interview were Alex doesn’t seem high 😂😂😂
Alex with that Aquemini love, man of culture

50's style persona for the AM era. Now he's 70's style for TBH+C. Sexy no matter what.
was tbhc inspired by the house at 2:35 ??
i feel sorry for the other two guys who are always neglected other than that alex please take me :)
Oh I see. I just happened to see few interviews not many. Recent fan that is. Oh well then, good for them :P
i think jamie and nick dont like doing interviews so thats why alex and matt always do them instead haha. at least thats what i read somewhere
its not that they're neglected, they just don't like it. Even Alex doesn't feel confortable doing interviews. He just do it because he has to.
'The other two guys', really? You don't even know their names? Jesus
I know right? what a weirdo. Jeeezzz
LONG BEACH!
97% more would mean there's just a bit less than twice as many swimming pools in LA compared to Sheffield
'i miss gravy and i don't miss wet leaves'
Alex, no se te entiende un carajo.

Alex : huh!
And I'm not even gonna touch wood...

How many times do they touch their noses in this interview, hahaha, On it.
Love the shirts which they are wearing but I tell you who sounds good being interviewed Matt good voice but Alex in this interview sounds drunk
What is the actual interview called?
I'd rather be in sheffield to be honest. LA with no cash is about as bad as it gets.
They miss Wednesday.....lolol
Who let Alex in public wearing that
This American-ish accent makes me uncomfortable
the gravy isnt even that nice tbh
