perfection, have to find a cool day not to hot where I live... It gets quite warm in Spring and can make it uncomfortable to prune and trim real fast. Last season I trimmed it was quite hot out. The next day we had snow and freezing weather. It was April 23rd😕. I sustained branch damage to one of my boxwoods and now will have to replace it next spring sadly. It is 16 years old, I have a matching boxwood on the other side that has been recovering from damage for about 8 years so I will finally get a new pair. I have 6 total boxwood balls and two walls, I hope to find a good match. I am thinking the Winter Gem Boxwood will make a close match. Cheers, I love your work it is precise and you have a great finishing result!

The Yew is a very pretty specimen! I like the Korean Gold Plum, it has a unique color. I also have an eye on the Orange Rocket Barberry, they have such amazing color. I too lost a box and am seeing last years Winter damage to several other boxes. I did not identify it early enough. I discovered discoloration now in October 2019 and it was from Winter 2018. There are ulcers that did not fully close on small and main branches, the small branches are not a problem the main branches will create massive holes😞. I am bummed that I missed it. I thought I had a fungal issue and was treating them foliar throughout the summer. Ms Stephanie, I hope you fully recover from your loss. Blessings to you, From Illinois wishing you the best - Joel.

@@justordinaryeverydaylife7977 Hi, thank you for your imput,I will look into these spécimens. I had heard of box disease then saw a video on moth and catterpillar infestation and one of the signs was the presence on Caterpillar poop !! When I checked my plants out they were full of poop. I haven't yet found a treatment for this. I am moving to a house whose established garden is all box hedged in so I am nervous about taking my surviving box to the new house, at the same time I Don't want to destroy what are for now fairly healthy plants. In the new garden I will have to move a lot of the old box to make way for paths and a paved terrace so I will check it all then for disease and insects. Best wishes from France , Stephanie

Mate your the bollocks at your job! The 1st time I've seen a video or anything for that matter explaining watering.. just saying water thoroughly means nothing to us people who have zero knowledge and are looking to grow healthy box so a big thanks for being specific in that regard! 👌 I've just planted some container grown buxus sempervirens for a hedge. Plants are only like 6 for £20 small(around 8/9inch high 5/6inch wide.. How often and how much watering would these need. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

U are suppose to hard prune (to reduce the size of a shrub) during early spring? Or in the fall? I was told the fall time….I live in New Jersey (next to New York in the USA), thanks!!! :). I’m attempting to do my own landscaping since last year the professionals ended up killing 4 of my shrubs :(
