I guess most ppl don't have a clue about what kind of,, or how much energy KZ is handling in a preformance like this,,,,,and what is most awesome to me personally is how she is able to hold the energy back after that rap part and bring it all down again in that way,,, 👍
I've played with a few preformers and most of them has a really hard time holding back energy 😉
Although Philippines is technically a producer of belters Kz is one of the big shots here who cant belt that incredibly but can slay different genres and so so versatile. She had polyphs if im not mistaken and she had undergone procedures in her throat. She did think of stopping her career in music but her love and passion for music conquered and heres the result.

Every performance by KZ on singer 2018 was mesmerizing. You guys said it well “brilliantly so good” if I heard it right.

Fun fact: Kz used to be a belter. Different singing style before she developed polyps in her throat which altered her voice. She almost quit singing but then realized that her condition turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Wow Yess!!, great reaction guys of KZ Royals cover. She also recorded that same song prior to Singer 2018 show at the WISH 107.5 Bus RUclips channel, you could compare an early version of her Royals song, also an early version on the Wish Bus of Rolling In The Deep. If you like to hear her sing in Mandarin Chinese she also sang in that same show "The Hurts You Never Knew" which the producers made a single record and sold it in the Chinese market. She also sang in half Chinese half English her last song "See You Again", in her native language Philippine-Tagalog and half Chinese she did the song "ANAK" and she did a rock song "Real Gone" OST of Cars movie originally by Sheryl Crow. KZ's last song was the last song of the show with Jessie J and Coco Lee, KZ was recommended by Jessie J and was flown from the Philippines back to China before the rehearsals.

Ah, yes, well the arrangement was by KZ. Same with Rolling in the Deep. She's just like that. I recall there was a mention of how she enjoyed having a live band in the competition with that much variety in intruments because she was free to arrange her renditions. There was also one time where KZ didn't get to use the band because they didn't know the song she wanted to play so she changed the song. She called up her friend from PH and he immediately flew over to accompany her in her rendition of "Say Something".

This performance is based on KZ's earlier stripped arrangement (check out KZ's "Royals" - Wish Bus rendition) with just guitar and drum which she made pretty much her own. So, she was very comfortable with this - now with full orchestra and band.
