What i love a lot about this (not sure if you've picked it) when you set the demon voice to -3 and +3 semitones, the differential of 6 semitones (or 3 full tones) forms the tritone which is also well known as the devils chord
Copy the voice to a new file. Place a marker at the start of the audio. Edit > reverse. Go to the end of the file and add some silence (10 seconds is usually enough). Effect > reverb > studio reverb. Edit > reverse and you have your reverse echo 👍
With older versions of Audition you can still achieve great scary vocal effects by manipulating parameters like pitch, distortion, reverb, and noise reduction.

So happy went down the "rabbit hole" (I was watching a workflow video and kept hitting the recommended video boxes on screen, at the end, got to here from 4 videos ago!)
