Catapult states that the object must not be being worn or carried. I think most DMs would count internal organs as being carried.

      @jaggedtoothgrin 8 месяцев назад +23

Plus a person isn't an Object until it's dead. Seems unlikely many would rule that a living person is comprised of individual parts that can be isolated, let alone that they're Objects.
also unless you've already cut a hole to that organ, it has full cover anyway.

The questions seem fun to answer so…
    1) not that bad unless it’s a d4 or a dice that is cut with sharp edges
    2) I always do different characters. There are so many combinations of race and subclass and origin ideas that I simply have no interest in replaying as the same character
    3) I’ve had overlap between my characters a few times, despite my trying a new combination of race and class for every character. Some “tropes” I have include characters who seemingly have no choice but to be violent, spell caster characters will lean heavily into one or two elements for their spells for the sake of flavor (I have two characters from different classes who specialize in fire, for ex), and my characters have some sort of body dysphoria or self image issues. This ranges from a tiefling wanting to be human again, to a human slowly replacing themselves with robotic parts to become a war forged.
    4) entirely depends on the rest of the vibes of the character tbh
    5) I would bring it up only as a joke, but if a dm wants to have a session but doesn’t know what they want to do, sometimes someone else will “take over” and host a different campaign or a oneshot so people can still play dnd
    6) it’s not about winning per se, but about creating a story with the rest of the group. It’s improv with gambling aspects. I consider it a win if a session is immersive where I become invested, or if it becomes narratively interesting
    7) can’t relate I’m ace, but I do admit to consensual in character flirting and I am in a campaign where a handful of the characters have been shipped together

it depends on the DM , but i would allow it , same for casting it on Living creatures . In the dungeon masters guide there is a table for AVG spell damage for Spell slot and i would just use that , maybe make it more effective on water elementals . Its a creative idea and it's fun .

deffinately depends on the dm. for me personally its a hard no. IIRC it cannot be attached/ adhered to an object. and explicitly says it targets objects (until you die every part of you counts as one creature not several objects). not to yuck your yum. different tables have different takes and magic rules. ive found that more restiction with spells and playing strictly RAW has led to more creative and tactical thinking on my players part

    11:18 imma do this too
    1. Depends on which one, most of them no, but the d4 is like a caltrop
    2. Generally I don’t play the same character twice because it’s the same experience as the first time, but if I want to see a different outcome of the same character (like a good vs bad ending) then I can play them twice.
    3. I don’t like playing *too* complicated spell casters but otherwise, I always look for new experiences.
    4. Submissive/wannabe doms
    5. Realistically no, but if the DM gives you the (extremely large amount of) resources and permits it, you can forcefully become the new dm.
    6. Idk I don’t put my intimate life into dnd unlike some others.
Edit: oh right the “what do you win” question. Uhhh there’s no proper win conditions, you just kinda play until you feel like it’s a good ending to the characters, or you don’t want to play for a different reason.

13:25 I have done the math. If you want it to be like the fire elemental, it’s 10 damage. I also did a lot of math, which came out as about 6 damage. Math below.
Fire elemental takes 1 cold damage per gallon of water. Reverse that, so 10 necrotic damage for 10 gallons destroyed.
Destroy Water removes 10 gallons, which is 80 lbs of water. Water elementals are large, so they would be on average 12 ft tall. Assuming vaguely human proportions, you multiply the average 6 ft person’s weight (177 lbs) by 8 (square cube law). This gets us about 1,400 lbs. Divide that by 80, you get 17.7. Divide Water Elemental’s HP by 17.7, you get 6.4. Round down, so 6 damage.

Dnd has the Inquisitor subclass for rogues but in pathfinder it is it’s own class that is describe as a cross between a bard, a paladin, n a cleric. They way they’d rescue u is similar to the bard but they would pretend to be someone important enough to boss the guards around n get them to carry the prisoner out n probably convince them to pay the inquisitor for doing this. My favourite class I’ve ever played in a fantasy TTRPG.

    Answers for 11:18-11:51
    1. I've never played DnD but I wanted to for years. || Try it! There are resources you can borrow (and keep in a separate digital copy), but keep in mind that you may need to buy the actual copies if you want to play a more public gaming sessions found in Adventurer's League and steaming platforms. I must warn you that like with other systems, it is not perfect and it is not for everyone! So broaden your horizon if you feel curious about different options because what customers have as an advantage is the options to choose from.
    2. if you step on one of your dice, does it hurt as much as stepping on a Lego? || Depends on the materials as resin dice have rounded corners to reduce the chance of injury by penetration while the metal ones... I'd rather not think about the cost of the clean up and the first aid. Overall; same with Lego, do NOT leave them in places where people would step on such as stairs, ramps, floors, carpets, rugs, and so forth. So I'll say with full confidence that I'd preferred to be injured by Lego over being injured by metal dice as a quick clean and a band-aid with fix a scratch from a Lego, but not so well with a d4 caltrop.
    3. if you're playing in a lot of different games, do you have different characters or the same one? || Normally, it really depends on who is running the game. However! It is usually preferred to have different characters (even if they are built the same). That'll give you more materials to work with and keep in a player's toolbox (archive of what-worked-&-what-did-not). I have about 5-6ish ideas for characters.
    4. If you have different characters, do you find that they all tend to be like the same race or Bleh? || Yes. Character Bleed is a thing and happens a lot, as most of my characters tends to fall in to category of out-of-touch nobles who partook on an adventure to broaden their experiences...only to nearly died on the first quest.
    5. is there a word for people who always only play Dark Elves? Yes. Drow Players. Simple as that. Edgelord is when they do some really nasty things and expect to be the bad guy with a tragic past that leads to redemption, but they come off as standoffish and a real downer, which is not very approachable as a party mate. Don't let the memes persuade you to mix the two together, even though they exist for as much of a reason as paladins are associated with young men who associate a greek letter as their personality.
    6. Can you overthrow the Dungeon Master? Yes. First you offer the DM to host their game in your house, then you make snacks for your guests (fellow players and DM), and when the DM does something you and your group did not like such as crossing a boundary into lewdness or atrocity, then you can simply tell the DM to leave your house. BOOM! You've just opened a power vacuum that either you and your fellow players must sacrifice themselves to the DM seat in order to stop an overt collapse of the campaign.
    7. What do you win? Many would say you can't win in DnD, but I'd say poppycock! The win state for DnD is that you ended up with a story to tell and you keep coming back the sessions and experience more of these emotional drives that entice us all to be invested. You'll laugh, cry, dread, and experience the high and low; all in your grasp that you'll never thought you'd have before as like everyone of us, we're stuck behind a mask of expectations and societal acceptance; it is okay to be weird and goofy at the table.
    8. Why are you all so horny? You can blame that people often associate "seduction" as lewd flirting instead of tempting a subject with what they needed if they fulfill what you wanted them to do; people forgot that gold (wealth), god (power), and glory (thrills) are options too.

I'm not sure if you have a direct line to the tik tok about a non-player asking questions, but in the off chance you do, the answers:
1: yes, but you get used to it for most. a d4 (the little pyramid ones) will ruin your life, though.
2: depends on preference and creativity of the player. Some have lots in the same game and some prefer their one favorite little blorbo.
3: also up to the player in mind, but the short answer is we all have our favorites.
    4: yes, "kinksters"
5: only by surprise or on the ones that think it would be funny.
6: depends on the campaign, but there's a serious answer and a funny answer. The serious answer is "you don't win reading a book and this is similar. The only goal is to partake in an adventure as in days of yore." The funny answer is "your DM's pain and sometimes a crying session about what happened to your favorite NPC (non-player character)."
7: I blame the dice. There's something primal about being able to seduce with a flick of the wrist.

    11:18 just because I can
    1. Yes and we often say 1d4 damage to the foot quite literally if you step on the four-sided one.
    2. Depends on the person. One of my DMs plays the same guy every time he's a player. I have a bunch of characters to choose from meanwhile, and it depends on my mood when I start the campaign and what races, classes, and subclasses the DM allows.
    3. That one's pretty much up to the player.
    4. Ah yes, "the edgelord" unless their drow aren't edgy, and then they're "the night owl".
    5. If you mean take over the campaign you're in as the DM if it's the DM's own world? That is very frowned upon. If you mean "I'd like to run a session and be the dungeon master, be it for a side game or a fun little one-shot or whatever", the dungeon master would very much thank you as we love to play too.
    6. Your prize is usually "a new house rule instituted by the DM because of your shenanigans" or some weird ruling that has become a house rule. And sometimes magic items for your characters depending on the DM.
    7. It's not all of us, just the bard players. And sometimes the warlock, cleric, paladin, and sorcerer players too as far as caster players; as far as martial players, I've yet to see a monk player who isn't at least a little kinky. That being said I'm fond of Clerics, Sorcerers, Bards, and Monks.

*11:33** I’m no veteran but I’ll answer anyways as I’ve done both DM and player for a good bit*
*1: YES. Especially the D4 (small triangle one, my foot still hasn’t recovered)*
*2: it really depends on the different DMs. Cause you can just have 1 character and have an excuse of “it’s the multiverse” be the reason or you can be, yaknow, fun and play different characters to try different classes out (even if some are better than others)*
*3: That’s an interesting one, it really depends on what you like the most. A friend of mine use to exclusively play warforged cause he found them fun and boosted AC off rip is nice so can’t blame him. Every race has their own perks*
*4: the closest thing to it is giving them a brain haemorrhage from either memeing on his story telling or do some batshit insane stuff*
    *5: that’s just every fandom.*

    1) Only if it's a d4, or maybe a d10 or d8 if it's particularly sharp-edged.
    2) I reuse some characters, but I have a number of concepts I keep in reserve to try out later.
    3) I think I do play more humans than any given other race, but it's more for the Bonus Feat than anything else. As for alignment, I do usually go with Neutral Good, because it's hard for me to seriously put myself in the headspace of someone completely selfish, but I do branch out. It helps that I think I'd probably be LG myself IRL.
    4) The three most likely candidates, I think, are "Edgelord," "Weeb," or "Simp."
    5) Unfortunately no, but that does sound like a fun idea. Somebody needs to make an RPG where you can do that, stat.
    6) At a base level, you win when you have fun. Each adventure, though, generally has some definite goal of some kind. Of course, players can often derail that entirely, if they're ambitious enough, turning the adventure into a completely different thing. And, even if you fail at the in-game objective, if you had fun losing, you still win--though some people have an easier time doing that than others.
    7) I dunno, lady, I try not to get involved with that side of it. Something about use nerds, I swear.

    1. Depends on the die. In order from least painful to "OH GOD KILL ME!" they are: d20, d12, d6, d10, d8, Lego, Vlad the Impaler's rusty spear, and d4.
    2. Generally different characters, but people often have a favorite character they like to have appear in different forms in different games so reoccurring characters are not unusual. There also can be reoccurring themes or names. For example, I always name my paladins after Roman Emperors, so I have Julius, or Augustus, or Claudius, etc.
    3. In my case, yes. I play humans like 60-70% of the time. Some people have preferences. Some people try to play a different race as often as possible. Some like playing the more exotic races, and be something weird. Some like to just pick whatever race is optimal.
    4. They used to be called "Drizzt clones", but these days the answer is more likely either "Edgelord" or the phrase "Has a fetish, don't ask about it". I advise any searches for the Drow goddess Lloth have the Safe Search on, and never be done at work.
    5. Chloroform, duct tape, a car ride in the trunk, a few bricks and a deep river, and voila!... If you mean in game, that's like asking if a football team can overthrow the referee. Again, not ruling out the chloroform... but hopefully you get my meaning.
    6. Fun. Companionship. A good story you took part in. What do you win when you play in a band or theatre?
    7. Turn the Safe Search off in #4.

You typically have different characters for different campaigns, I myself have 7 at the moment.
You can try to overthrow the DM, probably won't work very well given how the DM is literally the most powerful god of the game and can change anything, whenever.
You don't "win" D&D, you work together to defeat whatever enemy gets put in front of you. Then when that one's dead, you go fight the next one.
We're all so horny because we spend hours of our time making things up and talking to figments of our imagination. We can't talk to girls/women that are real, I guess I should add in boys/men since D&D is becoming more of a both genders thing.
