    “As our family grows so do our projects” I know, it’s corny, but it’s sincere. Or “alternative Building from our awesome family, learning as we go and teaching along the way”. I love watching y’alls show btw! My wife, myself and our three kids live in the Charleston SC area and currently rent but have 2.5 acres about an hour out from town that we are planning on building with alternative methods out there and I love the earth bag method y’all use and plan to implement it at some point. Keep living the dream y’all!

      @@scottkursch3169 If they choose mine I would be incredibly honored. My Dad and Mom taught me that and I see it in their family. And at almost 54 years it's a way of life we don't see much anymore. We spend more family ly time now obsessed with electronics and not building quality family time. This family here brings back what I grew up with and try raising my daughter step kids and God kids adopted kids n all 30 odd grand kids with quality time and building something they can share with others. Mine is geared more to food and art projects than buildings though.

    Bullet was adorable when Bryson was talking into the pipe. And for a Intro "Our little family who started with a one room house, has come together with love and team work through trail and error to build our homestead. Along the way we have added a few animals and now a new family member, Join us each week as we bring you not 1 but now 2 homesteads."

      shartne , I've always admired when channel owners thank their Patreon customers. I don't understand why your friend Troy R. refuses to do the same with his channel. He doesn't even upload videos there as promised. He treats it like an entitlement paypal donor account. Much better and honest Homestead content here. : )

    • @shartne
      @shartne 6 лет назад

      You should pray about your hate for Troy give it to God he can deal with it. Its too heavy for you to carry. We will all answer to God for unforgiven sins. Its not up to you to judge anyone. Troy is doing the best he knows how. You have to understand that. Just like you think your doing your best. Live and let live. Its not our place to judge. Jesus it going to be the judge at the great white throne of judgment. I enjoy watching Troys videos I dont pick him apart. When I dont like watching someone working on their stuff I just un sub. Its easy to do, so if you dont like Troy then dont watch him. He means well Im sure. I think he is thankful he does thank people when he opens boxes Im not sure what your saying he is not thankful? Remember you will be judged in the same way you judge others kinda scary isnt it. I sometimes make comments to my wife and she dont want to hear it. Says dont judge. We arent judges. I but we are not to be tolerant of sin either. Are you thinking troy should come on at the end of the video thanking every one for donating or watching his videos. He always says thank you for watching. Did you donate on patrion to Troy and he didnt thank you? How about Patrion they take money a good chunk and they dont thank anyone does that make you mad at them? Also the government takes money in taxes they dont need and wastes it and no thanks is given. I have seen a lot more thankless people than Troy. I dont why everyone is on his case? I dont get it. He is being bullied. I dont like bullies. I use to stand up to them in school I would fight if I had to keep from being run over.

    • @123tanners
      @123tanners 6 лет назад +2

      shartne , It is not about being 'judged' and all that stuff you mentioned. It's about critical thinking. Taking money, whether it's given freely or not, and Not upholding your promises, like the promise to post exclusive content, or the promise to 'thank' their customers, or the promise to have monthly giveaways....is wrong. No credibility, Among other things I won't bore you with.
      It is great to see MyLittleHomestead for example genuinely work hard and accomplish what they say they will do, without excuses. Good day sir.

    My late husband, Humphrey Blackburn, was the guy behind Blue Future Filters, and held patents for elements used in slow sand filters. I bring this up to hopefully save you some trouble, based on our experience experimenting with filtration for gray water. It didn't work. Even with a settling tank before the sand filter, a mesh grease trap in the sink drain (we were only testing on our kitchen sink), even putting an aerator in the settling tank to keep it from going anaerobic, it still quickly became a smelly mess, and overflowed when it got clogged up. From what I've read since, gray water held for even just a day or so (probably pretty quickly in your warm climate) will become black water. Yuck. I'm personally setting up a system for my new home using a pit filled with wood chips, which will then drain out to the landscape via a perlite-filled trench. (The perlite is left over from my husband's business, but is available as a soil amendment.) My soil is very clay-ey, and I don't want the water to sit in a clay pit long enough to go nasty on me, so the drain trench will start at the bottom of the pit, and flow down and away. (I'm not saving the water for irrigation at this point, but you could.) The wood chips will settle and compost, and can be topped up or replaced as needed, and provide compost when exhausted. I *hope* my system works! There are a few more details, like how to size the chip area, and introduce the flow so it doesn't clog up. Let me know if you're interested. I wish us all luck! :D
