I would say it's more parterre garden than knot garden but thanks for sharing

Thank you, I can understand why it could be referred to as a Parterre garden when examining both descriptions. Nevertheless, the National Trust has named it as an Elizabethan knot garden, which interestingly takes inspiration from the decorative plaster ceiling in one of the rooms within the house.
