It feels like every time Yoko is like, "Are you sure, mc?" It might be a heads up on your alignment
I was kind of puzzled why Yoko stuck around for almost all of Minato. I was like "I thought she was supposed to be a guest character."
Then when Tao and Yoko had their conversation about cars I was like "Oh now it makes sense". They're basically doing the Walter/Jonathan/MC dynamic again
Tao and yoko are with you for most the game. There dialogue questions go towards your alignment also some quest do to

I love how the Canon of Vengeance handle Sahori. Due to Yoko's influence, Tao's actions helped save Sahoru emotionally and at the same time sticking it up to Lahmi, hated that guy. So many joyous feelings, and then Lilth comes in to tear it all down. Not only does it make the player want to defeat Lilith but also play a part with Tao's story.
Well vengeance is overall a much stronger narrative then creation, i really like that they added more humans in the mix considering the silent protagonist etc. SMT games in general ain't exactly dialogue central but i felt like the original could of used more fleshing out in that department. I don't say i thought the original was bad, but it had it's weak points and many of them got addressed in vengeance... even more so if you know the story of creation beforehand.
Not to mention, being able to play it on PC with a higher frame rate feels great. On the Switch it was one of the most beautiful titles for the system, but it also came with frequent frame drops and i dunno but it felt like my switch almost collapsed at times... nothing a reboot couldn't solve but still.

I'm sorry that’s obviously supposed to be intimidating but that tentacle wiggle 38:42. Also, yaay Sahori lives. She actually stands up for herself and for Tao against Lahmu now. As a Sahori stan everything is right.

I loved your reaction when you were all like aww everyone is smiling, and then the demon lady just randomly popped up, and you can see your face go from happy to concerned real quick.
I just find it hilarious due to how genuine the reaction was.
I feel like a werido, but that was great.
Wow the whiplash on that whole new outcome to the Lahmu arc is WILD like “Wooo! Sahori made it! This is so much better than the old canon. I wonder if they’re going to give her a role to play in the story going forward? Also, I wonder how they’re going to do Tao’s whole saint thing since she also made it out of this aliv- ahhhhhh CRAP. Fuck you Lilith for squashing all my happiness.”
If the devs wanna make you hate the Qaditsu, this is a VERY effective way of doing that.

The events in this episode is where canon of vengeance begins to show its divergence from the og in full force imo. Along with the much needed character developments of the casts, we also get more lore dump if you’re diligent enough to talk to npcs, especially in Tokyo. Have to say I relate to Johne’s reactions and enthusiasm much, it’s really a blast reexperiencing the game in new light
Johne has finally gained charm immunity. He has officially started his sigma grindset into a true Chad.
This was like the most stressful episode both gameplay and story wise
Just wait until he gets to the end game. I was stuck on Tehom for over 4 hours.

Bro I feel your pain, this fight was a huge pain in the ass for me as well. I managed to pull through, had Sudama's essence from fighting Nuwa and stumbled into this fight Nullifying Force, but holy cow did it stretch my patience to the limits.
Wow seeing johei die in an atlus game is a rare sight
One tip for the Labolas and Naamah fight is to have an Apsaras as she nulls charm and has Patra to heal the others and while Apsaras can't hit Labolas's weakness normally she can just regular attack Naamah for more press turns (also if you have Apsaras's essence you can give null charm to the Nahobino too).
This actually makes Spirit of Love a better quest to complete as Leanan Sidhe does not null charm and is weak to force (she does null dark though but Naamah's charm and Labolas's attacks are the bigger threat)

I genuinely got caught off guard by Lahmu, I killed him in 2 mins max, and was like “Wait, he’s actually dead?” just fucking sped-run that whole arc with him by just spamming Light-Shards

Watching your megaten gameplays be enjoyable
I like how they ask you to save right before that first boss fight. A nice, big and juicy softlock trap. Reminds me of FFT.
If you lose and saved at that moment, you will get sent back to your room before the fight. They fortunately thought about that

On my playthrough, I started laughing uncontrollably when I saw this cutscene
Rng is really crazy! Tao and Ame no Uzame carries me through this fight but they died turn 1 for you 😭
Love V Vengeance is getting recognition! Yeah I'm not going to be hoity-toity "I beat the Naamuh ambush first try" I did but it was incredibly sweaty, full meat shield + revival herb combo, that fight was no joke! I will say the moments when you're sweating bullets but then the Hail-Mary Seal hits, theres no better satisfaction!
Ikr. I’m playing on casual mode and still dying all the time lmao.
Watching this makes me happy i play these games for the story not the challenge even though it would be satisfying. I played on casual for the first half of the game was having some trouble because i don't use buffs or items besides healing then i was like okay i need to restart and i remember wait do they have safety for vengeance. I looked and sure enough it was there. I was expecting a small difference not such a huge one i went from doing 30 damage per turn to 400 lol. I appreciate those who want a challenge but boy when you don't want to grind to level up to get thorough it's just amazing being able to experience this game myself then see how it's done and laugh at the difference.

Iirc, one of the main complaints for this game was that your choices couldn't allow you to save some people. Hopefully this expansion will show that path.
There’s a persona that really helps with the first boss seen today, and that is Voivre
She has the ability to help lessens charms effectiveness

I'm a fan of this dlc so far, Atlus probably felt that the game was incomplete and I totally agree that it was. The dlc makes the story better, and I can't wait to see how it goes.

I was hoping with the release of a definitive edition, Sahori would fuse with lahmu and become nahobino but she would be in control much like the protagonist. She would then represent dark alignment, as opposed to tao being light.
oh well...
A bit of spoiler but someone else already represents the element of dark and chaos which is why Sahori still died. It'll become apparent later on.
@@codywhite6337 I know, in base smtv they only had tao as light alignment but no one for dark so obviously they're going to fix that with the definitive edition.
Still, with the release of a definitive edition atlus had the opportunity to give sahori more of the spotlight but they didn't.
This game looks like a pretty decent game
bit of a shame so many of the optional scenes were missed in the school, nothing of note was really lost i guess, but such is still a shame as someone who is a compulsive completionist. i may be recalling incorrectly but when i played i don't think any of the extra school scenes were new.

The Naamah Labolas fight should be easy if you focus on slapping Naamah butt out of the fight first as Labolas doesn't do anything crazy, he is only there to give additional damage output for Naamah.

it's funny that the glaysa labolas and naamah fight is really easy if you are using str build, its way too easy, and that I already have matador and blocking force affinities when I was fighting them
