In this 2 part presentation, Egbe Omo Oni Isese shows one of the significant dimensions of Ogun's survival here within Trinidad and Tobago. In this Part 1 video, elders explain the importance of Ogun to the survival of our Traditions to an inquisitive youth. He submits himself to Elders, who explain the contributions Ogun made to the invention, propagation and success of the steel pan in Trinidad and Tobago and worldwide. The discussion occurs in Southern Marines Steelpan Foundation Compound, the Original Pan Palais, where the old Marabella rail-way train line is still currently installed/buried in the property's foundation.
