- Ariwo Ògún Ye! - Shout and make a joyful noise! Ogun Lives!
Within Part 2 of this series, Malaki and Malomo Joseph of Southern Marines Steelpan Foundation (Pan Palais) both join members of Egbe Omo Oni Isese in the presentation of nine (9) songs sung traditionally for Ogun in the Ifa/Orisa spiritual spaces of Trinidad and Tobago. The songs tell the history of Ogun's descent from Ori Oke (his home of desolation) and Ogun's return from war. Ogun is made chief and crowned Ogun Onire upon Ogun's return while wearing palm frond garments over his blood-stained body. Ogun's original horrific appearance is noted, but we, the children, are glad that Ogun lives... that Ogun survives! The video also portrays Ogun's survival through the Steel Pan manufacturing and through the local blacksmiths of Trinidad and Tobago.

You make me feel as though my ancestors abandoned and disowned the Yoruba, their own biological children and then adopted the folks in trinidad and tobago, cuba, brazil etc and then gave them the food and love due to the Yoruba a people who lost their homes in body spirit and soul.... embracing weird religions 😭
This new religion is not normal
Hi I have a question.Do we worship these orisa gods
Which part in Trinidad this place is? Wow explain the root and fact😊
@Gladstone Sandy this is Sanderson Park Fyzabad south Trinidad
The Imale (Orisa gods as you called them) are aspects of manifestations of Olodumare, the creator of all. Therefore, by venerating them, we are worshipping and giving praise directly to the Creator Olodumare
