You could calibrate a metronome to Jimmy Keegan. BTW Jimmy, I caught the Spring Session M tour in Memphis in '83. To this day my favorite performance ever. Terry is the man. But you do him great justice.
Okay, as you see through the camera, left to right. All Sabian, 18" AAX X-Treme China, 18" AAX X-plosian Thin Crash, 21" AAX Stage Ride, 16" Artisan Vault Crash, 8" HHX Splash, 10" HHX Splash, 19" AAX X-Plosian Thin Crash and 13" HHX Groove Hats. I switched to Sabian a few years prior to this video. I played Paiste for over 30 years. The longer I played Paiste, the dryer and darker my cymbals got. When I made the switch, I almost went back to the beginning. My cymbals now are much brighter and reminiscent of crashes and rides of my youth (80's). Since this video, I have switched the 18" AAX Crash to a newer AAX Thin Crash which is kind of a hybrid AAX/HHX. The 16" has become a 17" Evolution. So now there is a bit of everything. I'll be experimenting with the new Complex series next. Thanks for watching!

Awesome, simply awesome!!
That was amazing! One of my favourite cuts from that album and the band. Thanks for posting Jimmy!
Great drumming! Brief Nocturnes is probably my favourite SB album. Great songs, great playing and it just sounds awesome!
So that is the secret to your great talent! Dr. Pepper. And drinking 10,000 hours of them 😉. You know what I mean.
Hey Jimmy, what ride did you use on this? Can you give us a run down on all the cymbals?
