Crossbell duology seriously is a contender for some of the best music in the series, nothing but absolute bangers back to back to back, Falcom's just on fire with Trails music.
Years ago there was a channel that posted song extension back when they could only be 10 minutes long Max. The extension of this song was the very first trails song I ever heard
I keep revisiting crossbell OSTs from time to time ever since i beat zero no kiseki in 2017. Can't wait for the Kai version of the game on PC, it'd be a nice refresher before i play hajimari.
@@chikipichi5280 I did end up playin them yes! Zero No Kiseki (Legends of Heroes Traila from Zero in English) and the sequel Trails to Azure. Wouldn't say they changed my worldview or blew my mind but they are excellent JRPGs with ridculous levels of lore, but I wish I could have dived into the series earlier. The universe of the franchise is huge and at 30 I just can't find the time to play all the games. That said for a while now all the new games in the series are being localized at release so it's easier to access. Before you needed to rely in fan translations and patches for many entries
Literally what I just realized. haha I just finished Cold Steel IV, too. As you said, Cold Steel has bangers but its just not as good at what Zero and Ao blessed us with overall.
While I do have criticisms about this arrangement, such as the slower pace (probably so it would be easier on the performers) and worse percussion (as is the case with most outsourced arrangements of Osaki or Unisuga's tracks, although having Hidekazu Nishi perform would've probably rectified this), I very much agree with you. The added guitar solo near the end is especially great, I think it's one of Teramae's best solos, and that's saying something. One of the very few outsourced arrangements that beats the original imo.
@@AlithinoiDesmoi Yeah, for me i think it's Teramae's best perfomance. Don't get me wrong, i'm a big Teramae fan but something just screams him just having the time of his life working with Jindo's crew, he is still very much consistent with his timing and solo's but there's something cant be really replicated in that time..

The riffs are absolutely amazing, really cool guitar work here. The violin melodies and harmonies are also impeccable. Outstanding arrangement.
