Please don't be offended by my critique that every restaurant is "ethnic" that is an automatic assmption that doesn't have to be mentioned. Whether one is referring to an Irish breakfast, British breakfast, or Chinese breakfast they're all "ethnic". Some entitled individuals ie: "those who call and categorize themselves as "Non-Hispanic Whites" have used the term in the past in a demeaning disparaging way towards minority groups and their food and culture as being "ethnic". Such language isn't used in the North Eastern United States especially in the Mid-Atlantic States.

@@johnhartnett3629 Thank you for your response and comment on the video. It is never my intention to demean and disparage anyone. I am married to an immigrant so I’m a usually very mindful of the use of language. But sometimes (obviously) I miss. Thank you as well for watching the video. I appreciate it.

Hello there, I've lived here all my life, if you need any info or just want to know anything you may not find looking up research on just ask as I seen it all over the last 60 years. for the last 12 years Allentown has been trying to figure out a way to get Amtrak to pick-up passengers and run them to NYC and Philly as many attempts have failed at organizing a solution to do so, February of 2024 Scranton has broke ground at doing this. Yes, it's true Pennsylvania is known as the Keystone State as well as the Quaker State which means Oil state given in History Pennsylvania founded Oil before any other State in America, Not Texas as so many people believe. The Great Lehigh Valley is known as a Steel City because of Bethlehem Steel but what you may not know is that it's more known as a Railroading City as there is so much Railroading History here than any other state in the United States. the Lehigh Valley area alone had at one time 32 different Railroads all coming here between a 40 year gap. Great example of this is the 8th street bridge which most think was built for cars Nope Philidelphia Trolley lines built the 8th street bridge for their Trolley cars, there are still areas around that you can find and see in-person the old forgotten history as you just need to know where to look. "Eagle Point" gives you a great view of what's in the Lehigh Valley.

I and my family moved to Orefield Pa 2 years and a few months ago from Long Island, NY. I asked a friend from Nazareth, what it's like here, like apple to pears? He said more like apples to pretzels.
It's pretty here. But, for me it's been hard to get used to the pace of living. Especially work related, much slower. We came here for school for our son at Parkland High school. We are trying to take advantage of all the resources here. We have checked out many places in the valley, Camp Hill and Levittown. I miss the beaches and trains on Long Island, and the ease of getting to the City not the taxes. Will see. It's hard to negate the benefits of retiring here.

Welcome to the area. I’m not a city dweller and never have been so i can’t speak to the transition out of a metropolis like LI. But it really is a great place to raise and educate kids. If you are in need of a realtor, please let me know. I’m happy to help.
