    Government of India has enacted the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 and all the sections of the Act shall come into force with effect from May 1, 2017. The key objectives of the Act are:
    • Ensuring Transparency & Efficiency in real estate sector in regards to sale of plot, apartment, building or real estate project.
    • Protecting the interest of consumers in real estate sector
    • Establishing adjudicating mechanism for speedy dispute redressal
    • Establishing Appellate Tribunal to hear appeals from the decisions, directions or orders of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority
    Under this Act, Government of Maharashtra established Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA), vide Notification No. 23 dated 8 March 2017, for regulation and promotion of real estate sector in the State of Maharashtra, with its headquarters at Mumbai.
    Consequently, Government of Maharashtra also promulgated the following rules:
    • Maharashtra Real Estate (Regulation and Development)(Registration of Real Estate Projects, Registration of Real Estate Agents, Rates of Interest and Disclosures on Website) Rules, 2017
    • Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Officers and Employees (Appointment and Service Conditions) Rules, 2017
    • Maharashtra Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (Recovery of Interest, Penalty, Compensation, Fine payable, Forms of Complaints and Appeal, etc.) Rules, 2017
    • Maharashtra Real Estate Appellate Tribunal, Officers and Employees (Appointment and Service Conditions) Rules, 2017
    • Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Form of Annual Statement of Accounts and Annual Report ) Rules, 2017
    • MahaRERA has notified the following Regulations and Orders
    o The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (General) Regulations, 2017.
    o The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Employees) Regulation, 2017.
    o Charges for accessing MahaRERA web-based Application for registration of project and real estate agents, extension of registration for projects and real estate agents including updating website, database management and maintenance under regulation 48 of the MahaRERA General Regulations, 2017

    Is there model/standard draft in Maharera for allotment letter and agreement bond. If not why so. I have seen different allotment letter and agreement bond draft of different builders, drafting their own conditions to harass/loot consumers, on registered projects in Maharera web. Only Rajasthan Govt given model draft for allotment letter on web.

    Sir We are 8 person developing our apartment for residential purpose only . We are both collecting money and build our building.
    Is there Necessary to register RERA Act. For loan Process ?

    Sir, carpet area to built up area ratio is not 40 percent extra on carpet mathematically. But builders are changing so. And yet they mention legal area in the agreement. For this superfluous area they collect cash. What is the remedy.? Can collective complaint by flat buyers of a particular project be taken as proof and action initiated against the builder?

    Sir, July 31 High Court judgement has made MahaRera entertain complaints from flat owners from any project whether registered or not registered including old ones where people live but there is no OC or part OC or conveyance and no registered society. Kindly put up video on RUclips such as this detailing as to how to go about complaining with MahaRera against such builders who are making huge money charging heavy monthly bills. Now that sourcedetails... email is closed by you please let us know alternative email id where public can report to MahaRera about ongoing unregistered projects free of cost. For larger and increased public participation please publish in Times of India all your emails and what are they meant for.

    Instead of lecturing on you tube Chanel it would be really good if you look into peoples issues. I have pending RERA case orders for execution for now over three years. I tried many times to meet you in office but everytime denied by your associate. Many people waiting there said the same thing.there is no accountability with judiciary in law system in India
