I like how in the first clip Nora is going full bore, but the instant Ren speaks she stops and waits to let him speak, when it would be so easy to just talk over her quieter friend

Indeed. I think it's adorable. Ren doesn't talk much, but when he does..it's usually something of value (to her, anyway.) although she can speak for the two of them, she knows when she should just listen..hehe. okay im done talking now. :x
I think it's even more adorable from Ren that he's actually listen to everything Nora says. When he said "I don't think sloths make a lot of noise", I was really impressed.

I love the dynamic of their relationship.
0:56 I love how it slowly builds up to make us think Ren is completely ignoring Nora, or that he wants her to stop talking, only to reveal that Ren was actually listening to everything she was saying. It's a very subtle moment that shows that Ren never thinks of Nora as annoying or intolerable. A bit tiring, sure, but never a thorn in his side.
I still don't think that's what a sloth sounds like.

@@safeeyab6291 in my personal head canon: I think Ren fell way before Nora but bc he is emotion repression wrapped in a bow he never put a name on those feelings. While when Nora caught feelings bc she’s more extroverted, with her experience with people (and not being an angst lord) she has more experience with love. This headcanon exists bc I want more “Ren pining for Nora without him knowing bc Cupid could slap him and the first thing on his mind would be why would anyone give a baby a bow???” fics

You know, while I absolutely adore renora and their moments can we just appreciate the guard that dances with Penny? It's so cute to see that they care so much about her they do the robot dance with her on the floor.
the first clip is my all time favourite for these two, it just sums up their dynamic so well.
Nora is hyper and rambling, full of energy and Ren is calm and attentive to his tasks, quiet and logical.
And yet, he doesn't snap at Nora or find her at all annoying, anyone else would lose it and tell her to shut up but Ren not only lets her speak for as long as she needs to, but he actually listens to everything she says and responds to it instead of just blocking her out. They just love each other so much ugh
God now I get sad every time I hear Ren talk in volume 1 and 2....

These two are my favorite characters! The dynamic they have from knowing each other for a long time is amazing! The are polar opposites but blend beautiful as well as compliment one another's ability!!

Those two are like absolute perfect foils for each other personality-wise, plus they went through the same exact shit together as kids and have technically already helped each other to move on past that trauma. Looking back I like their interactions a lot more then the newer volumes. 1-2 Ren and Nora feels more natural and I really like their dinamic. The newer volumes meh??? I mean there is character development but we don't have these cute moments anymore and theses moments are what makes them a thing!
