@@greedygravy3739Same here, and unfortunately she brought her siblings to kick my ass after I took some shots at here. Two down, and three are still in Coastal Highway 😭
I'm reposting this comment because I see a lot of people asking questions about how the cougar spawns and three territories work. Cougars have three possible territories: one initial and fixed territory and two expansion territories. Each of the three territory has its own cougar. When the cougar enters the game (the number of days depends on the difficulty, it's 10 days for Interloper for ex), you get a special cutscene that changes depending on the region you're in and if it's night or day and what the weather is. Now the cougar is in the game. For each region where cougars spawn (they don't spawn in every major region), they will always spawn first in their initial territory. That spawn is fixed, it is not random like other animals. For Coastal Highway, the fixed initial spawn in around Quonset garage. If you don't bother the cougar, don't hunt it, don't enter its territory where it can see you, then your region will have only one cougar in the first initial territory. However, if you go hunt the cougar, immediately one of the two expansion territories will spawn into the region with a cougar attached. That's why unfortunately it's possible to kill a cougar and have another one spawn the very next second in one of the expansion territories. If you keep hunting cougars, eventually all three territories will be activated with continuously repeating spawning cougars with no grace period. That's why when Lithar came back from killing the cougar near the Ravine, there was another one waiting for him at Quonset. If you stop hunting the cougar for a little while, eventually the expansion territories will despawn alongside their respective cougar and there will only be the initial fixed territory left and you'll have only one cougar per map. This is how the cougar works currently. There are some minute details but this is all the important stuff, the rest won't have as much of an impact.
Most of us be running from the cougar, Lithar out here taking a closeup photo. xD Tbh, I haven't turned on the cougar in my main save because I'm not ready to be hunted!
Been traveling around CH and haven't noticed any thing out of the ordinary traveled up to ML to get Vaughn's rifle and propably going to try getting to broken railroad.
