What is Faithful dog ''Hachi'' ? Hachi is a dog with a famous statue in front of Shibuya station in Tokyo, Japan. Hachi was a dog kept by a professor at a university, and he picked up and dropped off his owner every day. Hachi was very fond of his owner. However, something sad happened to Hachi. The owner, the professor, died suddenly. After that, Hachi moved from one owner to another. Your english study is going pretty well, though some sentences are a bit broken I can still understand what you are trying to explain. Thank you for the explanation, I am proud of you. Please keep it up! :)
The sad truth is, hachiko never got treated well when waiting for his owner. His breed of big fluffy dogs weren’t exactly appreciated by people, and people going through the station or working there would ignore or even kick him out, but he always came back to wait. It wasn’t until much later people realized how genuinely good this dog was, spending the rest of his life waiting for his owner with no one to care for him did people begin to show respect.
@@acatshii6597 I learned about this a while ago so my knowledge might not be 100% accurate but yeah :( his kind of dog breed wasn’t appreciated I know that much
How to recognise a Tuyu song : 1. You can relate and cry 2. You cannot relate then also cry 3. You feel happy to the melodies until you turn on the captions
I understand that this song is a tribute to Hachiko, but it hits different. It's for everyone, waiting for someone, longing for someone, who never lose hope.
Same, the situation is quite bad, but the songs are still innocent, though it does leave a bad taste in my mouth now, their songs are one of my favorites
They said on Twitter that this will be different from their usual songs...and it is, but in a good way!! I love it so much!! I'm again convinced TUYU suits every style!! Also, I LOVE they story of Hachi so much!! A TUYU song about it makes me so happy!!!
@Funny Man SodesneOrPikmin haha, isn't that the fun in music? everyone can feel lots of emotions within one song, and they're free to do so. especially in TUYU's songs, where the rhythm, tempo and tune changes quite a lot, allowing us to feel hundreds of emotions in just three minutes.
Pusu's genius approach to compositional structures strike again! I'll explain why it's so emotional. 0:00-0:24 Intro 0:24-0:48 First Verse 0:48-1:00 First Verse (Phasing. It sounds like 2 separate Composition Structures due to its Chord Progression. Or I guess you can call this a Bridge if possible.) 1:01-1:24 Second Verse 1:24-1:35 Second Verse (Phasing again.) 1:35 -1:59 Instrumental (Verse to Instrumental is *EXTREMELY* rare in modern pop, woah!) 1:59-2:20 Intro 2:20-2:22 Intro (Phasing.) 2:22-2:40 Chorus (And yes, the Tempo became quicker here.) 2:40-2:51 Outro It is delivered very emotionally because the song has been building up with only Verses, with the good lyrical story-telling. Finally, until the _only_ single Chorus, the song is at its climax. Just let me leave timestamps here so I'll have an easier time arranging them in the future. (Not now due to seasonal anime.)
@@leoisthebest0530 I explain how Pusu composes a lot of times in my piano arrangement videos of their songs. I'll put it in the description when I finish the arrangement.
Also some important points on how the chorus was such a strong impact: alongside with the tempo change, there is a key change from A flat major to A major (the key got higher), which obviously make the chorus more intense (emotionally as well), but it also had another "purpose", which I'll cover it later. There are two phrases within the chorus, the first phrase is mostly made up with _minor_ triads(chords), while the next one is mostly made up with _major_ triads, however it landed on a F# _minor_ . It is such a powerful combo to have the upbright beats paired with minors so that you could hear the joyfulness of the faithful dog's wishes even though so much scars are lied underneath. "...But wait, it's only normal to have majors and minors within the whole song! Why is it anything special?" Well, the key change there is! Key change is such an oldest spell in the book, but quite unbreakable- the key change makes the triads special, and with the arrangements I mentioned above, brought the effect to the fullest.
@@KaigaiCocoBeer I heard 7 chords too. I haven't started arranging it yet, but TUYU is well known for using 7th-11th chords or so. The lyrics slowing down was unexpected though, but at least it didn't become anti-climactic.
This is a story about hachiko. He waited his owner every day in station for almost ten years. Sadly the owner is already died. Hachiko still waiting there until the day he died too. Then a statue was build in that station for remembering him. Sorry for my bad English. Btw, another wonderful song from TUYU☔
Fun fact: In 1934 Hachiko Statue was built by "Ando" and "Saito" (I couldn't read the last name sry) lot of people donated for the Statue to remember him. But Hachiko Statue was once taken down by the Japanese gov during World War 2 because they were extremely poor in metal resources. Saito protested but gov still took Hachiko Statue and melted and used it for train parts. Around 1948 Saito's Son (Saito was Killed in action) wanted to rebuild the statue. even doe japan was occupated by other countries (cuz japan lost in the war) luckily Hach's story was already introduced in the U.S before the war (Which a lot of people were Impressed) GHQ actually helped making the statue. Saito used his father's creation as a resource to rebuild the statue (Which is the current one u can see in Shibuya, Tokyo) Another Fun fact is, Hachiko's Statue in Shibuya Station is not the only Statue, there are multiple statues of him. The first one is ofc the Shibuya, Tokyo(The one I've been talking about) other was built around the Train Station in Akita Prefecture, Another one was built in Mie Prefecture around the Train Station, And there's another statue in one of the Tokyo University campus. Other than the Statue there are many displays are related to Hachi. I know my English is bad but thanks for reading this long sentence :)
F*ck I can't- this song made me cry so hard. Especially when I saw the English Translation of this song it made me cry more. The fact that I knew the story and the lyrics fit to it is so great that I kept on replaying it over and over again. The pain I felt right now is unbearable than the pain I felt every passing day. TUYU never fail to make me cry everytime.
This shit was great if there was an anime for this I would be all over it. It always cheers me up and I just listened to the creepiest fucken song, hachi deserved better change my mind.
The patience this dog had to constantly walk back to the station in hopes of the owner returning is crazy. Really shows how much of an impact one person’s imprint has on the mind, even on an animal. The imprinted will always wait for that special person’s return, no matter how long.
The saddest part of hachi's life was that he only spent 2 years with his owner before he passed away, and hachi spent 9 years waiting for his owner to return to the train station that he left him waiting in. In the end, hachi died in the streets after living a lonely life, we can onloy hope he found peace with his owner in heaven. I just wish I couldve pat his on the head and said, "You did well, hachi."
This was hard to listen to tbh. Hearing that people used to treat him bad made me feel sad, and yet he still waited for his owner made me even sadder at it. I'm glad that people saw his undying loyalty and begun to see how sweet of a dog he is. This is one of the reasons I really love animals, even to one of my cousin's cat who kept biting my legs off in every opportunity. I still love the cat and she already open up to me and begun loving her tummies being rub by me (She might love it a bit too much that she won't stop leaving me.) I hope Hachiko is well and happy with his owner in his afterlife, if it even exist. Love you Hachiko!
Thing is, friend, Humans knows when to let go and move on, they can comprehend death and accept sooner or later. But animals cant have that kind of thinking just yet, owners are their life, you could even say their only purpose to live a happy life. A faithful person knows when to let go, but a faithful dog may never.
@@EpicLemonadez oh i know that, i was more talking about loyalty in general. Grief is a total other thing, what i meant is that sometimes humans don't do efforts for their partners, friends ect and give up on them. Like i said grief is very different, some people overcome it in 1 or 2 months and some never do, sadly.
I know that maybe it's a little late to leave a comment now, and that maybe no one would see this comment, but I would like to leave my mark here This is the first song in my life ever that made me cry just by watching the mv once, and I would like to thank everyone who got involved in the making of this song Thank you for making this, we all will always remember about this song, the emotions that we all felt, all the tears that was cried from this, will always be the proof that this song is beautiful ありがとう、ツユ。

For those who dont know, this song is based out of a true story of a akita-breed dog named hachiko, adopted by a agriculture science professor, Eizaburo Ueno. The story begins with Ueno looking to akita-breed dog to adopt. He's been searching for a long time. Eventually, after a long time, one of his student suggests him to adopt hachiko. 2 years have passed and it became a routine for hachiko to wait for Ueno at the Shibuya Train Station after he came back after work. 21st of may, 1925, as usual hachiko waits for Ueno. Sadly, he dies unexpectedly while working due to cerebral homorrage. After that, hachiko lives with Ueno's former gardener and always keeping the same routine going, waiting for Ueno to come. No matter what, heavy rain, thunderstorm, snow, and even sometimes people kicking him out of the station, he still manages to wait forever, thus creating his name "hachiko-the faithful dog". Time has passed, in 8th of May, 1935, he peacefully dies at the train station. Both of them will be remembered, Rest In Peace, Hachiko and Eizaburo Ueno.
That was depressing, but surprisingly accurate. The first time I watched it I didn't know hachi's story so I thought the final scene was the owner returning to his dog but after reading hachi's story and rewatching I realized how sad this amv was. The music was beautiful and fit the animation well, all legends have great themes. If they made an anime based upon hachi I would watch it and cry every step of the way.
@@krogunex3209 the movie is really great , you must watch it whenever you're free. You will find that there are more details about this MV after you watched the movie. Rmb to prepare tissues ya ;)
The owner of Hachi is Ueno Eizaburou. He was a professor of university of Tokyo. As he loved Hachi, He was together whenever He went out. But when he began to keep him,and one year rose,Ueno diez of cerebral hemorrhage. After his death,he belived a return of the masuter and went to the Shibuya station everyday. He continued it even if he consisted to the thing of another person. He was a white dog, As He went to the station every day, it became dirty and became brown. He was tormented. As the collar which he attached became the charm, people was it stolen well. Saito Hirokiti who knew it made a newspaper about him. It affected the heart of many people. He was not tormented. When Ueno was dead, and ten years passed,Hachi amade died. He went to the station on that day. A large quantity of insects were parasitic on his heart and liver. There is his organ in the Tokyo agriculture museum and can see the parasitism of the in sect. After his death, people regretted him,and stood a bronze statue. This is ゛Hachiko sutatue゛. It was dissolved once by war,but was made again after the end of the war. He is living happily now is heaven. I'm sorry I'm japanese so English is strange!!! But I wrote it because I wanted many people to know Hachi!!! May hachi's story continue to be passed down!!!
This song broke me so bad that while I was crying I had to try and compose myself because I was ready to bawl hard. I have never expierienced that level of emotions in a song. Thats not to say that I've never had tears streaming due to listening to a song, or getting misty eyed and emotional, but this is the first time I actually full on CRIED (I was a total mess lol). TUYU, I'm probably going to have to rate you as my favorite Japanese band of all time. I always love your stuff but this is phenomenal work!
Same here, I just clicked this video out of curiosity, until I realized if I know this story, then I started crying when the singer just started singing

Pusu's genius approach to compositional structures strike again! I'll explain why it's so emotional.
0:00-0:24 Intro
0:24-0:48 First Verse
0:48-1:00 First Verse (Phasing. It sounds like 2 separate Composition Structures due to its Chord Progression. Or I guess you can call this a Bridge if possible.)
1:01-1:24 Second Verse
1:24-1:35 Second Verse (Phasing again.)
1:35 -1:59 Instrumental (Verse to Instrumental is *EXTREMELY* rare in modern pop, woah!)
1:59-2:20 Intro
2:20-2:22 Intro (Phasing.)
2:22-2:40 Chorus (And yes, the Tempo became quicker here.)
2:40-2:51 Outro
It is delivered very emotionally because the song has been building up with only Verses, with the good lyrical story-telling. Finally, until the _only_ single Chorus, the song is at its climax.
Just let me leave timestamps here so I'll have an easier time arranging them in the future. (Not now due to seasonal anime.)
Very well explained. One of the more underrated comments here.

Yes, a very sad real story. And a beautiful song from TUYU to remind us of it.
Bruh what is it with Japanese people speaking nearly flawless English and then being "Sorry for my bad English"
@@demomoon1552 there were some flaws, so i wouldnt say flawless, but hey, humble people are the best people
@@demomoon1552 precisely, my english is practically garbage compared to the jpn speakers

Underrated comment.

I still love the cat and she already open up to me and begun loving her tummies being rub by me (She might love it a bit too much that she won't stop leaving me.)
I hope Hachiko is well and happy with his owner in his afterlife, if it even exist. Love you Hachiko!
It's crazy to think he waited at this station for 10 YEARS, not a lot of humans would even wait 1 year :( This dog is the best doggo ever
The thing is: (idk about dogs) but my memory is trash as hell so id forget the face after 4 years or something help-
@@Jess-kj6bo unless the person is really really important to you :3
Thing is, friend, Humans knows when to let go and move on, they can comprehend death and accept sooner or later.

"she"? I thought Hachiko was a boy.
Also Rest In Peace faithful doggo.

They did make an American movie version based on this Japanese tale…either way, which version you read or watched, it’ll surely make you cry ;;^;;
