    I've been curious how starlink works. You now have faster internet than I do. Apollo looked very concerned about you climbing on the roof.

      It works awesome so far! He was only concerned cause I'm the one that gives him snacks and he doesn't want to lose his supplier!

    So, does that mean more videos because of shorter upload times? Technically, it can be amazing for sure.

    Thanks for the tutorial! Step one, get a taller ladder. I intend to be joining the ranks of the Starlink family here relatively soon, so thanks for sharing! -Dusty

      Sounds great Dusty. It works really well so far. I'll put that ladder on my wish list.

    Watching you shimmy up the second roof was scary. I'm glad you safely made it, and it is running good for you

    It’s too hot to think…😅
    I really liked the ladder setup and the way you straddled the roof!

      It was waay too hot that day. At least I lived. Wasn't certain about how that would go really.

    You are really good at instructional videos. Your roof maneuvering did seem a bit sketchy.
    Thanks for sharing

    Birds of a feather stick together! Your ladder job looked like something I may have done. 😂 I think you may have purchased the go anywhere version of Starlink, hence the table stand. But alas, Adam’s ingenuity comes to the rescue! 🎉those speeds and the clarity are impressive! Might kick one can farther down the road to make Starlink happen here. 😉

      It's absolutely worth the money so far. We'll test the snow melt function to it's max this winter though!

    I bought mine only two weeks before they dropped the price lol. I only used it a couple of times during the one month I paid for it but plan to try using it later this summer/fall up in the mountains. In my couple of times out testing it worked fantastic here in Utah. Trees are the mortal enemy of Starlink, we had issues with the one at the cabin because there were still too many trees in the way. They do make both a pipe adapter and a flat adapter for the new dish for mounting to your post, you can order them on the Starlink store now that you're set up. I would recommend picking up a spare ethernet cable for the dish at some point, that's the most common failure point for these.

      I think you'll love it. Not sure about the portability but hopefully that works well also. We may have to get a second one then?

    Sing along !!! About to do some sketchy sh** , I hope I get away with it .. Heck we pay 99 bucks a month for cable internet , so your right in there. Now that you have higher speed , you can watch more of our amature videos . SCORE !!!! I trust Elon more then the big cable co.

    As MTA continues to charge more and more for 5mb internet, it may be time to consider trying Starlink; the startup cost is the real hurdle for us.

    • @alaskacutthecord769
      @alaskacutthecord769  4 месяца назад +1

      @@alaskacutthecord769 Thanks - We'll have to save up for it, but that's probably the way to go. MTA - even with a senior discount - is $20 more monthly than Starlink.
