      I disagree, the trial was going his way, the DA did a TERRIBLE JOB. Thug's lawyer wanted to stay on trial and keep fighting, that case had REVERSAL written all over it. Even if found guilty, a mistrial or significant reversal would have forced the DA would to give a better offer, drop charges, or go through YET ANOTHER expensive long ass trial which the state couldn't afford.

    • @TheKontrarian
      @TheKontrarian 6 часов назад +2

      @@Wobbothe3rd who wants to take that gamble? Of course, a lawyer wants to "keep fighting" because while he's continuing to "fight" he's being PAID. If the trial was going "his way" he wouldn't be on 15 years' probation. Hundreds of hours of community service, banned from metro Atlanta etc etc etc. He didn't "win" in this trial the only thing he won was not being physically locked behind a cell. He's not been found not guilty. YSL wasn't proven to only be a label and not a gang etc... all those charged wasn't proven to not be criminals and found innocent etc... it's technically a loss. The state still won even with their incompetent prosecution... they still won.

      @@TheKontrarianit's not just Brian Steele's opinion but a LOT of lawyers independently evaluating the trial from the outside agree with what I'm saying. Btw you overlook that Thug REJECTED the initial plea offer, his independent plea was a HUGE GAMBLE in itself, basically putting his life in the hands of the judge! The fact that the judge let him WALK despite facing DECADES worth of prison time in charges tells you that the government's case was WEAK and that the trial did not go well!

I get 900ml a month that’s 30 oz. My point, he uses the prescription to waive that “drug test” grab extras off the street stock up hide it somewhere and just chill with your family and make music and only come out and do your shows or whatever business you need to handle.

      Thug was innocent. RICO and Gang statues are unconstitutional violations of our 1st Amendment right to freedom of association. Thug was not accused of direct involvement with violence except tacit approval, he was 99% accused of guilt by association and promotion.

  • @Wobbothe3rd
    @Wobbothe3rd 6 часов назад +1

    I understand that Young Thug wanted to go home as soon as possible, and that he did ultimately get a great deal relative to what he was facing at trial, BUT I still think he should have listened to his lawyer and fought all the charges. That case had MISTRIAL and REVERSAL written all over it on so many levels. I think that's exactly why the new judge gave him the deal she did - because even SHE KNEW the trial was going terribly! Flakko is wrong to characterize Thug as an "animal" "savage" or whatever, maybe that might actually be true about some rappers but Thug was never really a gangster for being a gangster's sake, he always was and is an ARTIST. You have to respect how unique he is as a vocalist even if you don't like his music. I think Thug will stay out of jail, but obviously I'm biased because I WANT more of his music lol.

    • @Ivanblock757
      @Ivanblock757 6 часов назад

      If he gets convicted on just 1 charge he still would get 10 to 15 years of probation plus prison time

    • @Wobbothe3rd
      @Wobbothe3rd 5 часов назад

      @Ivanblock757 read what I wrote. He was on track to be exonerated, and even if he was found guilty the trial had a LOT of grounds for appeal. It's very unlikely that the DA would want to do another trial after the long expensive disaster that happened the 1st time. In situations like that DAs usually either drop charges, reduce them, or make favorable offers.

    • @Ivanblock757
      @Ivanblock757 5 часов назад

      @Wobbothe3rd bruh we wasn't gonna get found not guilty of all those charges, you delusional if you think that was gonna happen. He would still be sitting in jail for another year or two listening to you

    The thing is, if the judge and prosecutors wanted thug to do time he would have done time. They had him dead to rights, the judge could have gave him time since he entered a no contest plea. So I don’t think they set him up at all. If they wanted they could have just kept him in there and made him do the time

    • @Wobbothe3rd
      @Wobbothe3rd 5 часов назад +1

      Totally wrong. The trial was not going well for the government side AT ALL, did you even watch any of it!?!? They absolutely DID NOT have him "dead to rights" whatsoever. And the fact that the judge let him WALK despite potentially facing DECADES of jail time in charges should tell you how weak the case really was! Look at what other attorneys have said about the trial, the DA was NOT winning!

    • @seancidy6008
      @seancidy6008 4 часа назад

      This was not the Feds where beating charges is like winning the lottery. They _had_ him or so they thought for a while, but then they didn't because the witnesses recanted once they got a deal. The prosecutor could not go back on the deal, so had to offer what he did.
