I don’t find you negative, but one of the reasons I enjoy your channel so much is that I don’t get the impression that you put on a veil of enthusiasm/happiness over EVERYTHING. It’s so refreshing. Keep doing what you are doing.
Interiors are seriously your jam. So pleased when you said you're gong to continue with this kind of content in the future as it's so fab n interesting to watch from your point of view. You have an incredible eye for design, especially the details, like what goes with what etc. which is so tricky when you have a blank slate. So inspirational. And you don't shake the camera at all. Also, don't get why folks say you're whiney. You're not. Your passion is coming across, and it isn't too little or too much. It's just right. 'Tis easy peasy to say don't let them get to you, but I hope you don't because you're simply brilliant xx

Looks great! Why is there no water insulation behind the tiles in the bathroom this insulation stops the water from going behind the tiles thus creating mold and mildew?
Those yellow tiles are fab! I think the way you have them on the shower wall is really smart, it’s just enough of an accent. Love the recessed shelving over the bath tub too

Place is looking amazing, especially the bathroom. One word of warning, I had a white quartz worktop in my first renovation and it stains so easily! So be careful - I used to clean it with bleach daily!

Our apartment is being reposing it in two weeks and getting new appliances and I’m just here excited for it because of all the ideas I have to make our apartment even better . About the a.c they are not to expensive really .like the LG ones and we use them for heating too. So basically they heat and cool. They dont go in the window. And they are amazing .they dont spend too much energy. We are very use to them. As i rember here you can find from 300 euros to 1000 euros ones. I use mine so much in winter even more.
Is there any sealing under those tiles? As a Finn I'm shocked. We always put water sealing before tiles to prevent water damage (which will happen over time if there is nothing under the tiles). I'm no expert but I'm just sad when people renovate focusing only on the things you can see with your eyes.
Fellow Finn here! From what I’ve seen in other English houses, they don’t tend to put water sealing under the tiles like we do. Normally, we’d put a coating of sealant under tiles on the floor and falls to make the whole room water tight. I think it’s not a common thing in the UK. I get nervous about it too 😅 grouting doesn’t really make the bathroom water tight as, over time, it will get worn and let water through it.
You have the right to be exited and thrilled, you worked so hard to achieve & have what you have now. People who are jealous they need to work harder basically

I used to watch that Kevin McCloud house show (and love it!) and this is sorta like that, but with someone I followed on youtube for a long time. Renovations aren't easy, things go wrong or not like you hoped, you are allowed to "moan" about it (why do they always use that word?), just as you are allowed to show you feel over the moon about the stuff that goes better than you ever hoped! Everything looks so amazing, and my favorite room so far is the big bathroom, love the mix of the different tiles!

Heini Teide yes. Well it’s actually a sort of membrane “tray” that goes under the tiles and then they’ll be sealed on top too
My husband and I also did setting plaster in the hallway, full walls and woodwork - bloody love it! Great choice.

Loving the renovation videos Lily. Having done kitchen, bathroom, ensuite and wooden flooring renos myself I know exactly what you mean about the excitement that is tempered by nervousness. It's a lot of money and time invested so it's natural to be concerned about whether your choices are going to work together and if they will age well. I'm really enjoying seeing your home coming together. I am particularly excited to see the big windows and the new kitchen. I think the micro concrete will look so stylish, I can't wait to see it. Congratulations on how everything is going so far. It is looking amazing!

I used to watch that Kevin McCloud house show (and love it!) and this is sorta like that, but with someone I followed on youtube for a long time. Renovations aren't easy, things go wrong or not like you hoped, you are allowed to "moan" about it (why do they always use that word?), just as you are allowed to show you feel over the moon about the stuff that goes better than you ever hoped! Everything looks so amazing, and my favorite room so far is the big bathroom, love the mix of the different tiles!
