In hindsight, he held back because of his love for his dumbass younger cousin (me)....He was and STILL remains one of my FAVORITE cousins decades later!!!
I remember watching a documentary on finding Nemo. They brought this fish specialist in to help with the movement of the fish and the realism. At one moment while animating Dory the specialist exclaimed that the fish's fins can't extend that high in reality as it's underlying musculature doesn't allow it. The animator turned and looked at him and said "uuhhhh....... these fish can't speak either so..........".
There's a tradition in folklore and fiction of "feral humans" raised by animals, living like them and therefore becoming as strong as an animal. The adult Mowgli from Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Books is another example. Even Robert E. Howard's Conan, as a "barbarian," was physically superior to "civilized men." Edgar Rice Burroughs made it clear in his books that Tarzan is much stronger, faster, and tougher than even the greatest human athlete who has lived as a man, rather than a beast.

First of all it wasnt a Fight to death kinda fight. More like a Mangani Cultural Greeting Fight. See how Akut pats knocked out Tarzan at the end. Second, Akut and Tarzan both were raised by same Gorilla Milk, so he should be exceptionally strong too. In the Cartoon he choked kerchuk easily and beat a leopard hand to hand.
Yes. In the original book Tarzan also killed both Tublat (his adoptive gorilla/Mangani father - and Akut's father) and Kerchak (the leader of the gorillas), although he killed them using his biological human father's knife.
@@cosmicdragon7901 Wrong, Gorillas actually have less Testosterone than humans. Gorilla strength has nothing to do with testosterone and everything to do with how their bodies are constructed.

There's a regular guy who lifted 4000 a pound boulder off himself in an emergency, and a woman who lifted a car off her toddler. Scientists say that if the extra energy in our bodies weren't directed towards our sense of reason i.e. the brain, we'd probably have a phenomenal amount of strength. Very smart people eat A LOT of food like weightlifters and athletes along with a metabolism to process it. We only use 10% of our brain and 30% of our actual strength. I'm not saying we can take on gorillas, but with people that can survive head on car crashes, I think there are more than a few people that can take more than 1 hit.

He was expecting to get his ass beat.....
if you're raised by gorillas you kinda are. not in literal sense but definitely no average human or bodybuilder. but in the lore he is supposed to be on par with the gorillas i think, shouldn't search for logic there,
Normal human IRL: “the gorilla immediately jumps on the man and twists his head off like a bottle cap before he can react”
True
not really depends on the man
Nope. That shit would pop your head off immediately.
@@jaysanders1347 No, take the biggest strongest man on earth, lets use Brian Shaw as an example. 6'8 400lb world strong man title holder. Silverback Gorilla is still going to literally rip his face off in the first minute of the fight. They are not normal animals, highly intelligent, they say they posses the awareness of a 7 year old human child. They understand your eyes are used to see, neck used to breathe, genitals are sensitive and vulnerable in the same way we understand those facts, which is why the first thing apes usually do when they attack is literally rip your face off and gouge out your eyes. Even if Brian somehow avoids this initial onslaught and takes the gorillas back to try and choke it, they will bite, have you seen their teeth? puts a dogs K9s to shame.. Gorillas grip strength powerful enough to crush bone, tear limbs from sockets. No human on earth has any chance against gorilla without a gun.
@@JordansTake35 what about strongest man on earth vs a chimp
This is the best video ever!
I had high hopes for this film because the cast is simply splendid. It’s unfortunate that they couldn’t make it work.
it was a decent film. a little short and not enough tarzan in my opinion but still worth a watch. dont be too harsh
@@OAwesomeO i bought it
🤷♂️ I enjoyed it.
Margot was absolutely wonderful as Jane. Honestly perfectly casted including a wonderful villain.
@@OAwesomeO He wasn't being harsh, he was being truthful. The movie sucked at the box office, ie. Noone cared to see it.
Akut literally taps him and gives him the nod of approval, if akut wanted to kill him he would have he knows Tarzan can take the beating. He just wanted to see if he still understood the rules of the jungle, a little bit of a reminder big bro can still beat you 😂
The look from S.L. Jackson @ 1:07...pure gold! LOL!
I love this movie it's not a light hearted way of Tarzan coming to terms with who he really is
I remembered everyone burst out laughing in the movie theater at this scene. Good times!
Why laughing?😔
@@AdrijanoJ the part where samuel jackson says "you want me to lick his nuts too???🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why are people getting so technical😂 geez
Well actually they're not being technical. We're obviously just too smart for you. *sarcasm* 😝
@@mobboj7338 yeah u guys are way smartttttttttttt man shut the fuck up
Everyone wants to feel smart I guess. I mean, shit I didn't know movies weren't real life.
“Christ almighty. That’s akut? You sure you don’t want me to shoot him?”
😂 😂 😂
Excellent stuff bro
Akut is so terrifying my heart would've taken me out before Akut had the chance
Even how unrealistic this is still such a bad ass scene
I like how they went a bit more realistic than the animated where 18 year old Tarzan restrained and put a fully grown silver back gorilla in a choke hold and somehow held him down
In the comic Tarzan is as strong as a gorilla
1:08 When my friend Douglas was about to fight the 7ft tall dude at the bar 😭😭😂
People have to remember that tarzan is a peak human he can survive a gorilla easily+thats his brother he doesn't want to kill him
Yeah, while I doubt a peak human can beat a gorilla at least they would survive their hits
"When two brothers are rough housing in the living room" lmao
Being an extra in this film paid for my wedding. Six weeks as a Belgian soldier who along with all the others gets killed in the opening scene.
@Grouhauluss yes... 6 weeks of filming for the first min or so. I was the gunner on one of the maxims. All the stuff we trained for and rehearsed was cut...
@@fishyc150 nice dude, never saw the movie, glad you use the money with for a good cause
Wow. How much did they pay you?
@@emreevo8 a day was "only" £100 basic. But got £25 for getting wet, £25 for carrying a gun and overtime. Good overtime. I was getting between 250 to 300 a day on average.
@@fishyc150 yeah im callin bs on this guy being in the movie, or even his fake "wedding" for that matter. I was in that same group of Belgian soldiers who was killed and dont recall ever seeing you partner. LIaR
I love how everyone here is upset that Tarzan even survived a fight with a gorilla, but just image how livid people would’ve been if Tarzan had actually WON the fight against the gorilla. 💀💀
Christopher Lambert's Tarzan is still the benchmark.
Jackson's expression at 1:08 is meme worthy.
Grew up in a jungle, running, jumping, swimming and climbing day in and out, play with gorillas (sparring) and other big animals, fighting lions and other predators-any martial artist would trade anything for that body and reflex Tarzan has.
Swinging would be the fun part!
Best clips I’m a huge fan of you!
In case you’re wondering, Tarzan is indeed built different.
this scene has all the energy of a prodigal son returning home after having abandoned it. it is a rough, yet loving welcome lol
Would have been cooler if it was Rosie O Donnell doing Turk
Roughly 23 cuts in a 22 second fight scene holy fuck 😂🤣😂
Just realized Tarzan is vampire Eric from True blood 😳 dude is a good actor 👍🏾
He also played Dr. Nathan Lind in Godzilla vs Kong. A great actor indeed.
When the gorilla runs towards him my fav part
@1:07 lmao, the look on his face. "This dude is crazier than John McClane!"
i like how george had the same concerned face throughout the whole fight
This is sort of like what happened to me when I challenged my older cousin as a teen (he was grown). he beat me up and hurt me enough to show the wisdom of NOT challenging everyone just because I was so 'powerful' in my own little world (teens). In hindsight, he held back because of his love for his dumbass younger cousin (me)....He was and STILL remains one of my FAVORITE cousins decades later!!!
“Oh it looked like you were” 😂
Shoutout to the guy recording these close up fights without being attacked by a gorilla the whole movie
😂😂 1:06 I'm Jackson's looking at him like. "(NONE OF THAT BULL GOING TO WORK. YOUR GOING TO BECOME MAGGOT FOOD)
Yeah there was no hypothetical way he could even defeat a gorilla that size.
There’s also no way a man can be raised by apes. It’s a movie.
Unless he were a zombie.
He didn't
Yea dude Definetly not a fictional movie or anything
I remember watching a documentary on finding Nemo. They brought this fish specialist in to help with the movement of the fish and the realism. At one moment while animating Dory the specialist exclaimed that the fish's fins can't extend that high in reality as it's underlying musculature doesn't allow it.
The animator turned and looked at him and said "uuhhhh....... these fish can't speak either so..........".
2:48 hella hilarious
tarzan teaching you how to fight:
0% training
0% guns
0% clothes
100% nudity
(EDITED)
One of the greatest videos ever!
It is one of the most underrated movies
@Ray of Lyte it was never over rated
There's a tradition in folklore and fiction of "feral humans" raised by animals, living like them and therefore becoming as strong as an animal. The adult Mowgli from Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Books is another example. Even Robert E. Howard's Conan, as a "barbarian," was physically superior to "civilized men."
Edgar Rice Burroughs made it clear in his books that Tarzan is much stronger, faster, and tougher than even the greatest human athlete who has lived as a man, rather than a beast.
Man misss old badass Disney movies 🎥
2:51 That comment about the gorilla's nuts makes me laugh every time
Living in the jungle since birth and never had a beard, guess Gillete makes these Tarzan simps.
Some people just can't grow beards
I almost can't grow a beard, some people works like this.
@@ondrejurban2634 dude I know some can't grow beards but its not someone real we're talking about. :facepalm. Plus, I was never a tarzan fan for this reason alone. Feels like Mericans can't make bearded heroes cuz Gillete owns everything lmfao 😂
Don't forget Johnny Weissmuller, the Tarzan who wrestled Crocodiles and Lions.
Gorillas have TONS more testosterone so...that’s invalid
@@cosmicdragon7901 Wrong, Gorillas actually have less Testosterone than humans. Gorilla strength has nothing to do with testosterone and everything to do with how their bodies are constructed.
@@bomretiroesantana book Tarzan wasn’t a white British bodybuilder though, book Tarzan was a bronze giant who wrote in perfect print, book Tarzan saw normal men as puny and could hold back a lioness running full speed away from him with one hand, book Tarzan is different from any of the tarzans we saw in the movies.
Not even a composite from all peak humans could do this would be able to stand this, first hit should have killed him
Sleman Gerdy it’s a movie you supposed to suspend your disbelief
@@israel6104 There's suspension of disbelief, and stupidity.
Maybe you're just not strong enough
This is Tarzan of the apes --- no ordinary man.
I actually think this is a phenomenal tarzan movie 😂😮😊
