I mean, on the other hand, you get to work with Jon Olsson and Benjamin, which are very good names to put into your portfolio in the future, I think someone, who has loads of free time during summer (students or people between jobs) would actually go for this and I would not call them dumb or desperate. If the first thing someone is complaining about are three unpaid months, then the person probably isn't the editor they are looking for. I guess they want someone dedicated and experienced - and that also means the candidate should be able to sacrifice some comfort for at least three months - otherwise he would not be able to adapt to their overkill work pace.🤷♂️

Benni will be occupied with other things... and not just babysitting. This month new merch will drop (Benni's got a stake in the company now)! Jon's boat is being built! But Jon is a family man now! So... Benni becomes his ears and eyes, supervising the projects hands-on! Benni becomes Jon's trusted personal assistant and manager. There will be a lack of capacity for the vlog, hence the search for a new teammember!
I have a feeling Jon will read the comments and have to address this internship. I agree with most if it is unpaid that needs rectifying. Sample some of their work, if it’s up to scratch then pay them. But I have a feeling Jon didn’t tell us everything. He has never struck me as that type of guy in all the years watching him to undervalue anyone’s time. He knows the meaning of it all too well.

Main aspect being that we dont know if we find a person that can edit 99% of the Vlog or if we find more of a person that basically helps Benni organize the timeline. Salery on these two jobs would be very different so since we dont know what we find I want to manage expectations. If we find a magician I am not the one to not pay people correctly. Bottom line, if you are the perfect match for us you dont need to worry about not making money from this job, but I want the person to have the right mentality. We did daily Vlogs for around 180 days straight before the Vlog broke even for me financially, so We to had to work hard before the reward came! 👊🏼

I just wanted to comment that I am in awe of Benni's closeup tracking shots, that's some amazing precision with tracking and focus. Unless that's some super high quality post processing, I can't even begin to think how you can do that.

Riley's vision of life is just the opposite to Jon and Jannid. Obviously he likes to drive a supercar but he loves simple life, look his videos and instagram, he prefer to buy a few cans of San Miguel and some Iberian ham and stay with Misha in a normal beach or driving his motorbike with his brother to all this luxury and fake life.
You must get by with what you have right? If you have a chance for luxuries, you won't turn this down. And if you don't, it doesn't matter because in the end it is all about being happy.

It's not hiring somebody if you don't pay them. That's called asking for a favor. In this case a really big favor that a guy with supercars, a house worth several millions and a yacht superboat on the way, should be able to pay for. At least just for some bread on the table...

Who would want to work for free for 3 months at a maybe shot on the team? Very disappointed in you guys. Would you work for free for 3 months and not get paid? Even internships get paid in the US!!
Can you imagine what their builders would say if being told to work on the reconstruction of their house for free for 3 months because the YT exposure could lead to big and great opportunities😉...In anycase an "intern" generally is someone with zero skillset or work experience looking for that break...not a skilled editor that is required to have a list of requirements met before applying...

Time and effort spent, is enough to warrant remuneration (even if that persons an intern or junior). Do the right thing...

They dont want to have a dude who isnt good. Was only good on test. Or have a bad attitude.
They also need to see if the new person personality is compatible with them in real life
