This is a great video, and thanks for sharing. I am an older gamer and find it challenging to use/think about too many buttons, so opt for auto. My reflexes are not what they used to be, so keeping it simple is the best option. The con is a I can't compete with the more experienced and better racers online, but it's always great fun.
Going back to this video, it was nice for you to do the comparison, and surprisingly, the auto option was very similar to the manual.
I just managed to get the gold with 1.32 on my first attempt and was pleased, but both your times were excellent - well done 👏

Thanks and I'm with you; in an online race manual gears are too much for me to manage 🙂

@crashracer ah I thought you predominantly used manual, wow I am even more impressed now with your race successes and times 👏👏👏

As always, those were some really good lap times you've set there!
You have a really neat driving style. My own driving style was a bit wild - I wasn't judging some of the corners too well and I was also letting the car drift too much. My best effort was a 1:26.609 on standard settings.

Glad you didn't cheat on this one! my respect is restored, I'm betting that slight wall knock could easily have stolen 0.142 seconds .... does seem to beg the question of the three deciding factors for faster lap times, driving line, auto, manual and manual with clutch then again, we have ABS, traction control and stability control, lots of variables and I'm dammed if I can find the correct settings to catch the guys getting 3 seconds a lap less.

Couldn't cheat on this one, or I would have 🤣

I tried, tried...and tried again (lol) using your settings but just couldn't get under that 1:25 mark. So then I switched to my go to on this track: Manuel (it's what I always use), then 4,3,2,5. I don't think those settings should normally work but on this track, they got me under 1:25 at 1:24.843 so I'm happy enough with that lol. Awesome blazing time for you as always though CrashRacer!👍

Nice one and a great time. As you know, the tuning settings aren't an exact science and sometimes is just what suits your style 🙂👍

A neat trick is to select manual gears but still change when you need to, particularly down. The game always gives a gear too much leeway, allowing it to use much lower revs than are appropriate. But you can use the change down button even though you have set the car to manual.

Do you mean select auto gears. If so, then yes that is a neat trick and one I sometimes use, especially on the starts to get a quick getaway 👍
