  • Things have moved on. All of the servos are fitted and working. The drive shafts are installed and the axles are turning. The hubs are fitted and I have had my first issue with his build. Watch more to find out what it is. Thank you always for your support.

      Cheers Sean. She is actually rolling now and being driven around the garden. I need to film part 4. Then it halts a bit as I cannot get the paint I need from halfords. Just running her in the garden she makes the mc6 feel a bit toy like.

    Wow looking quite cool. Take your time, enjoy the building process. Even the bits where you have to grind out the bearing hubs :)

    Check the hubs as there seems too much movement, where they fit to the wishbone the is a flange tube and washer. The tubes go through the hub and the washer on the tube then into the wishbone. On yours to me it looks like there is a washer missing. Watching the video closer washers are missing. I did not have issues with hub bearings but transfer box ones.

      Yup. There was. I fitted the extra washer once the arms were bolted to the chassis. It enabled me to slide the bolt out slide the washer in then tighten up. It is much better now.

    Hi my friend looking great. I sent you a little email and photo about the servo that does the gears, that will probably help

    hello just found this build i am in the process right now of building the same truck i have had it a few months now and am close to completion ..just a bit of confusion with all the wiring ...ugh ! ....sound lights action lots of wiring lol ... anyway just something i noticed on your hi low shift linkage the brass piece is upside down i know this because i did the same thing lol lol the cab will not clear unless you flip it around .. just a friendly fyi ... had the same probs with the bearings i used the dremmel with a barrel sander on it and just a small amount of touch up and they popped right in just a bit too much powder coating in the hole
    .. thanks for sharing the build i have subscribed and rung the bell ..looking forward to watching your build it looks great

    Great truck! I really want one!! Does the gearbox have the same level of play as the one they used on the MC's? It's just about the only thing holding me back :)

    There does seem a lot of play in those front arms... won't the steel bolts wear the softer alloy arms and make it worse? Seems like it needs shimming, unless I'm missing something (possible). Is the washer not fitting due to the same excess paint problem? Oh, if you ever can't get a bearing out, a bearing puller and a vice will make short work of it. 😀

      I couldn't get the washer in whilst holding it all together. Once it was bolted to the chassis, I was able to pull the bolt out slide the washer in then boom. It's fixed now.

    Hey again, when using the hobbywing ESC, do I need to disconnect the red wire going to the receiver (in the 3 prong) since there is now a BEC?

    • @antrc
      @antrc  3 года назад

      Without knowing the exact setup you have, what you don't want is power from the esc to the servo. So the lead between the two needs it's power lead taking out. I did a BEC install video in my MC8 - should be in the MC playlist - if you want to watch me in a real life install wiring mess 😉🤣. A

    Too much movement on those hubs without the shim. I got mine on no problem. I’ve got my chassis completely assembled and am just finishing the body now. Also, you have the shift servo linkage wrong, should almost be straight. Try test fitting the floor of the body to the chassis and you’ll see why. Other than that you’re cruising along my dude

    • @antrc
      @antrc  4 года назад

      Yes. Thanks. Managed to get the shims in once it was fitted to the chassis. Unscrewed the bolt and slid it in. I found out about the shift arm sadly when I tried to put the body on. That's been fixed now 👍🤦‍♀️
