I didn’t even really know theme hotels existed before your videos, I want to go to one so bad now. Love the reviews and you seem like A Pretty Cool Couple.
You two are just the most charming duo! Always enjoyable to watch. This series reminds me of California's Gold. Growing up with Huell Howser added to my love for all things quaint, folksy, and quirky. I tend to go to every odd little museum possible, this reminds me that hotels can fit the bill as well.
My wife and I have stayed at the Don Q a couple times and loved it. We stayed in Up, Up and Away and Sherwood Forest. Great staff and great hotel! Love the tours you guys do!
"Original freaking detail," What a lit up place. Some of those rooms were amazing to see inside of. So many sunken tubes, and the themes were pretty amazing. The upkeep must be a nightmare for housekeeping to keep everything dusted down, and clean. Gosh so many nooks, and valleys you'd have to clean inside of. Overall amazing place, how cool!
We contact hotels ahead of time to work with them on seeing the rooms but the folks at Don Q Inn are super friendly so they might be open to showing you more if you ask.
i looked at up up and away, it had a giant rip in the baloon patched with aluminum foil, a clawed off electrical switch in the bed, a worm of some kind on one of the remotes, a note saying to "prees 3" in broken english on the other, a massive unguarded pit under the bed and a unguarded cliff going into the bathtub, a smell only to be described as decaying human corpses, and a rusty air vent that looked like it hadnt been cleaned in 40 years, apparently used to be a really good hotel back in the day, but its just awful in its current state, just in the lobby alone there was a kid running around despite apparently not allowing kids, mustve been the owners kid considering they were of the same race and looked similar, the balcony floor was soggy and literally shaked as you walked around on it, every 10 feet there was a diffrent smell (from nursing home to insane asylum to dead rats to pizza to sweat, it was odd) there used to be a tunnel underground but apparently the entire thing burnt down and i guess they just... filled it with cement? its a nasty hotel and i wouldnt reccomend it edit: the switch clawed off was actually the middle one, looks like it turns, wonder what it does. edit again: some of my family had been staying in the indian themed room and said they were "pretty sure the saddle had been 'ridden'"

I spent my childhood visiting this hotel. My god it sure has changed.
Are the rooms just open to view or did you ask to see them for the video?

Why is Corey the cutest human on the planet. He kills me.
I have to agree with you there
