  • Loved it in Chichester, even better in London. Simon Lipkin steals the show but the there are many other memorable parts. Was in Box A so missed quite a bit of the left hand side of the stage and had to look through the railings some of the time. Act 1 was about 75 minutes followed by a 20 minute interval then act 2 was about an hour. Got out at 10:10.

I saw the second preview performance of Oliver at the Gielgud Theatre in London on Tuesday 17th December as well and it was absolutely fantastic

This is the right hand seat in a box of two. Whilst this seat wasn’t too bad, the seat next to it meant looking through the rails the whole time. You could not really see the back of the stage and missed a lot of stage right. However, you were very close, which I like. You could move the chairs around and you had your own private room just outside the box. So there were lots of pros and cons. When Nancy sings As Long As He needs Me, there is a point where she looked into the box and made eye contact and could have just been singing to me. I’d say it was worth it for that moment alone.
