Thanks for your review about the difference about these 2 perfumes. I was very upset and disappointed knowing that Une Rose was discontinued. It has been my favourite scent for years and I had been saving up for the big bottle. Then I came to know it has been discontinued and I just couldn't find anything that is similar to Une Rose. I tried Lipstick Rose and did not like it at all! It had a very plastic, synthetic rose smell which doesn't smell anything like fresh rose. I feel more confident and comforted to get a sample of Rose Tonnerre after watching your review knowing that it will at least have some resemblance of the Une Rose. I'll definitely get a sample bottle of the Rose Tonnerre and see if I like it. Thanks again.
Rose Tonnerre opening is so powerful and the next morning when I wake up it is still projecting a lot. The dry down is much better. The opening is too sparkling and sharp (for me) so I don't know if would buy the 50 ml or 100 ml. I mean .... after one year I have used only 5 ml of my 10 ml bottle. And I love it. It's a masterpiece.
I just received a sample of Rose Tonnerre, personally I really like it, and think I'll pick it up. It might be just me, but I find the rose very similar to what's in Rose and Cuir, just with more rose, and a touch of powder. I know I've been critical of FM on changing concentrations and reformulations, but at the end of the day, the scents are still on point. Let's see what the future brings....
Rose Tonnere doesn’t have that wine smell. Lipstick Rose did. Rose Tonnere smells nice you gonna love it on first sniff. It similar to Tom Ford Noir de Noir but richer.
@@fyeahitsrul5683 does Une Rose have the wine smell where Rose Tonnerre doesn’t? I’m wearing Noir de Noir and it has a somewhat wine-like smell 🍷 I’m wanting a scent with a strong red wine smell though, front and center, but can’t seem to find one.
Une Rose used to be my signature scent. I would CONSTANTLY receive compliments on the way I smelled. It was like being in a rose garden after a storm. I switched to Rose Tonnere, after being assured it was the same. IT IS NOT. I wore it for a few months… No compliments. In fact, I got into a car with some friends, and everyone IMMEDIATELY opened their windows “because of the smell”. I am now on the hunt for a new perfume.
Harrods lied to me. I saw on their website they are selling Une Rose but today I received Rose Tonnerre from Harrods. I hate that they are lying. Should I return it and lose the shipping fee?
Ah that happened to me too! I complained and they gave me a small discount refund (I think 10%) so I kept it as I found shipping it back not worth it. They are nearly the same unless you are really trying to sniff out differences and Une Rose is getting harder to find so might be worth just keeping it. I ended up finding a 50ml of Une Rose on Frangrancebuy so now I've got both.
I sprayed it just now and to be honest, it’s a synthetic rose smell and it feels like it’s one dimension. I tried Une Rose years ago and it’s got more layers and there are a few undertone ingredients in it. Une Rose came up to my mind a few times and yet I didn’t pull the trigger. I regretted it deeply now. I fear now that my favourite Noir Epices and Iris Poudre got changed too. After all, I bought those in 2016. I hate ester Lauder for cutting cost and use cheap synthetic. FM is over I guess.
The projection or longevity is strong because it’s synthetic. I think they have changed their ingredients in Une Rose a few years ago. Glad that changed the name because it’s completely not Une Rose I smelled years ago.
@@felicityw5163 I second that, Estee Lauder is the scum of the earth FM used to have much richer denser fragrances and so did Tom ford. My biggest disappointment is finding out they reformulated the night which is a $1500 dollar perfume. Its now a skin scent. Can you believe the audacity?

how about longevity? It's an expensive perfume, I wonder if it's worth the price?
@@soyrubyV longevity is strong. it lasts 12 hours. I wrote it. It's the most lasting and projecting fragrance I own. Like POAL.
@@franci.f. thank you 😊

So do I!

Do men use Rose Tonnerre?
Dunno why not.
Yep.
Why not! Perfume doesn’t really have gender on its own! We are free to wear whatever perfume that’d make us happy and comfortable ❤😊
