- Violette on Her Beauty Philosophy, Marriage Post-Baby, and the One Social Platform that Changed Her Career as a Global Makeup Artist
The award-winning makeup artist, Guerlain Global Makeup Creative Director, and Founder/CEO of Violette_FR - Violette is a distinguished name in her own right. With near 20 years of experience, Violette brought to life a vision of creating a space where beauty and art meet to evoke emotion. Known not only for her professional resume as a creative director working with the likes of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and W Magazine, Violette has also fostered a community on social media where her beauty tutorials are treasured among consumers and professionals alike. Launched in 2021, Violette_FR is a multi-category beauty brand offering a curated line of products that are vegan, cruelty-free, and made with safe ingredients. The brand’s French-inspired beauty culture bridges the gap between minimalist and the beauty-obsessed. Celebrating imperfection and individuality - through creativity and self-care as a tool.
Violette and Emily know each other well from their RUclips days - Emily even sitting down with Violette to do her own makeup and learning how to do the most epic Brigitte Bardot eye. Violette has this amazing way of making makeup feel relatable, fun, and effortless. On this episode, Emily welcomes Violette on the podcast to get into all things career journey - from RUclips to her life as a makeup artist, to then working across multiple global beauty brands, and ultimately launching her own makeup line. She shares her wisdom and advice around juggling motherhood & work, realness around postpartum, and her beauty philosophy which we think every woman needs to hear.

Violette is such a genuine human and inspiring woman. You can feel her philosophy and ambition in every word, I love listening to her
Me too!
True fact about boum boum milk . It really changed my skin ! Plus been following violette for a long time and I think the greatest gift was that she pushed me to have more « chérie me » moments and that is priceless.
Whenever Emily starts, my work remains unfinished :)
I’ve been watching Violette from the beginning of her starting on utube but this was so interesting and inspiring, not just about her brand but about her as a person. She’s warm, honest and yes confident and humble. Thank you Emily xxx
So inspiring! Violette is such a beautiful soul
I’ve watched her for years. She inspires most of my fashion and style choices.

One day I will be model and Dua's mate
I can absolutely relate to Violet, I too had an emergency c-section, due to cord prolapse, and I was freaking traumatized by it as well. My husband also had trauma from being on the outside of it. I didn’t get to process mine, since right after having my daughter, I had to be in mother mode. It wasn’t until a few weeks after she was born, all that trauma came flooding in, and my emotions overtook me. My daughter’s birth was very traumatic for me. Thank you Violet for talking about this!🤍 the pain, post c-section is unreal. 😭
Dang, that talk about anxiety, and postpartum hit me like a ton of bricks! I’ve always naturally had some form of anxiety, but it never truly excelled until being postpartum. I’d have moments of straight up fear, and crazy, unrealistic thoughts that would enter my mind. It felt like my brain was in a cage, constantly diving deeper into darkness. I didn’t know how to talk about it, cause I thought I was going to have a mental breakdown, and be viewed as insane. I’m 1 year and a couple months postpartum, and I have definitely gotten better. At night my anxiety creeps in, so praying, listening to a sermon before bed, reading my Bible, that’s been my saving grace🙏🏻
But it’s still a challenge.
It’s absolutely insane what a woman’s body goes through during pregnancy, and definitely after it. It’s not discussed enough! You always feel alone with your thoughts… it’s rough. But it’s a relief to know that you’re not the only one. Seeking help is so important!
Yeeees ❤️❤️❤️
