Fun fact! A lot of gadgets are made for people who have limitations, without specifically making them for that small target audience. By making the gadgets seem cool and useful to everyone the prices are able to be lower and more affordable for those who truly need the assistance

I thought the first device would be great as a tool for people who have medical conditions where maybe they don’t have the strength in their hands to do it on their own
They’re for people who have arthritis, etc. I’ve heard this saying for accessible products: If it doesn’t make sense to you, it probably isn’t made for you!
It would be a great device for kids too! My kids love cracking eggs but get easily frustrated over the shells that end up in the bowl with the eggs

Looks harder to use than the corner of the sink where you're going to dump the eggshell. It's also probably difficult to get clean.
@@privacyvalued4134but it stops the egg from getting all over your hands, and I don’t often get clean breaks. You can rinse it clean after, which I’d much rather do than have to rinse my fingers every time 😂

You gotta ice bath the eggs after boiling. Makes em easier to peel :)
It's about the Crack. They actually peel easier when HOT. The ice bath is good for stopping the cooking process.
Ice bath to stop them cooking, and peel under a slow running sink. Get the running water under the membrane and it’s easy to peel the entire thing in one go.
They are easier to peel if you use older eggs. Boil some that have been sitting in the fridge for a couple of weeks.
The restaurant i used to work at we would use the egg slicer not only for the hard-boiled eggs but also to slice avocados.
Mushrooms, too.

If you use slightly older eggs (a week+) to make hard boiled, they are easier to peel than eggs just bought fresh from the market or bought within the last few days.

Easiest way to peel a hard boiled egg is crack the shell and peel it submerged in a bowl of water.
You gotta roll your egg until there are tiny cracks covering the entire surface. Then it'll peel like a charm!
i was surprised this is not what everyone does automatically.
I still have fond memories of the first egg-extractor ggmore episode, I cant believe it was 8 years ago.

I use those for completely mixing my agar for petri dishes. They're very useful for most things & I think I got like 3 sizes for like $8 on Amazon. Great buy.

Eggs peel a lot better when you dont use brand new eggs, lol. Let them sit for a week or two before boiling and they peel effortlessly
This is the real tip. And you have a better chance at making a golden egg if you use older eggs
Peeling eggs is so much easier if you transfer them into ice water right after boiling!

When eggs are hard to peel, they weren't cooked and cooled correctly. They should be easy to peel.
