Meanwhile Boeing keeps failing.... failing against Airbus, and SpaceX.
Well, Boeing may have dropped the ball recently. But they got to the moon in the 60s.
@@edkrzywdzinski9121 whats your point? back in the 60's they didn't have such a fragmented company structure like they do today....
@@edkrzywdzinski9121 In the 60s Beoing hadn't been taken over by the execs of McDonnell Douglas who then proceeded to ruin Boing by removing the engineers from the decision making process.
@@chefboyartty I could have easily asked you what your point is. Just to denigrate Boeing or are you a SoaceX groupie?
The corporate structure of Boeing and their business model has caused the problems they are experiencing now. Despite that, though it may be decades ago, they achieved a great feature, something SpaceX has yet to achieve themselves and it is unfair to make a blanket statement like yours.
As it happened the Boeing capsule experienced a problem, but it returned without a catastrophic failure to its vehicle. SpaceX, if your talking failures, are failing more than any other of Boeing or Airbus.
That's my point. That Boeing got men to the moon before most, maybe all of SpaceX's people were born and don't be so quick to condemn them and sing the praises of SX.
@@edkrzywdzinski9121 Simply stating their history from 60+ years ago just reinforces that they are a company in decline. They are now riddled with blunders and incompetence. Whichever company is doing better in their specific field right now is the one that people will prefer and that is not Boeing in this decade.
Kudos for the engineers getting that chance to feel what they have been training other people for all these years.

let me know when we can go back to the moon. . . we can't even get people to and from the space station at this point. somehow we have moved backwards in space flight capabilities.
Just 1 company somehow can't get it right. Spacex has flown 50 people to and from space without any issues along with countless resupply missions to the ISS. Spacex have even done 6 missions to the moon already, just none of them crewed.

The Falcon 9 first stage does not separate from the Dragon capsule, it separates from the second stage. The second stage later separates from Dragon.

I'd like to know how the private test flights experiments went and how many people died before they decided to commercialize and broadcast this one publicly.
All these flights have been recorded. The falcon rocket has had failures. Typically you test the rockets a whole lot before you strap people to them. It's not some conspiracy lol
.....EVERY space flight it monitored and approved by multiple different government agencies. There is no such thing as a completely private launch.
@@ryanthompson3737 I know right? Not like you can launch a big ass rocket in the US without anyone knowing 🤣. I think if you did that you'd get a hell of a FAA/NORAD response. You'd see how quick your rocket would get shot out of the sky.
@SMS2884 Exactly. These companies need special clearances just because what they are launching are essentially 95% of the components that make up an ICBM. Switch the payload with bombs and you've literally got an ICBM that can level half a city. Sell that technology to an enemy nation without a space program or proper defense budget, and the US taxpayer is essentially paying BILLIONS of dollars for some other country to skip development into powerful weapons.
