This easily could've been a song about an evil dragon luring a naïve boy to the dark side, but it is so much more and so much better! A dragon that mourns a kind heart that his human used to have, but still stands and fights besides a ruthless murderer that he became now. A dragon who fights not because he enjoys fighting, or because humans are trying to kill him, but because these humans hurt *_his_* human and *_that_* is unforgivable. Not a monster that makes a hero fall into the darkness, but a true friend that *_follows_* a hero into the darkness so that he would not remain without *_light_*

think about if this happened and hiccup and toothless were the vilains. The opposite path of which his mother chose. Facing her on one of the deadliest dragons known to exist. Would it conflict with his views? seeing that his original dream can truley happen? Would it enrage him that the only way to achieve this peace was to leave and never return? Would he forgive her for doing so? Would he really see it as peace and his original dream?
Would Valka have the strength to fight her only son? Would she be torn by guilt that she couldnt guide him?
I love this idea and to add to it: what if Valka agreed and joined hiccup. They both had the same ideals and Valka knew Berk would never accept it, so after seeing what they did to hiccup and toothless I could see her joining him
Man... I can only imagine how Hiccup's mother would react to finding out what Stoick created. She'd be so disgusted in what he created.
In the new Hiccup of in Stoick for creating it?
Because I believe a mother's love would allow her to see past the monster Hiccup would become to hate the cause more than the monster itself

I actually could see his mother actually joining him and getting revenge on his father for rejecting the idea of peace between humans and dragons or they just go against each other which one would be cooler I don’t know but I honestly could see his mother joining him because in the original story line She was the first dragon rider and I can see her going against her husband for rejecting the idea that dragons and humans can be at peace with each other
AU where Hiccup and Toothless' villain arc started after they saved everyone from the Red Death and were rejected and exiled rather than what happened in the franchise. Also Hiccup and Toothless as villains would be, by far, even more terrifying than Drago, Grimmel, and every other villain in the series. Why? Because unlike them, Hiccup *truly* earns a dragon's trust and loyalty. And I feel like many people (Astrid, the Twins, Snotlout, and Fishlegs at the very least) would join him
of course they would join him, since they don't really have anywhere to go either. they also rode Dragons against the red death and everyone saw, so if they cast hiccup out, they would do the same to them
So that meaning Hiccup would have his own clain/team a clain/team where people bonded with dragons a like a clain/team of people who ACTUALLY earned their dragons trust and loyalty to take revenge on the place they once called home and yet where rejected by just because they were different
I can totally see that. Especially since the other Berkian Teens all teamed up with Hiccup to battle the Red Death. They would outcast them as well for simply teaming up with Hiccup and befriending dragons. The Edge would no longer just be a base off of Berk but their own island/home starting their own clan, the 6 of them joining forces with Heather, Dagur and potentially the Wingmadens and Defenders of the Wing (as they were both clans that were all about protecting dragons) the Netflix series could have had a whole alternate universe episode where this happened.
I love how these don't make Hiccup kill dragons or Toothless never love Hiccup, Hiccup and Toothless become villains TOGETHER, and he's only a villain to Berk, truly just joining the other side of the war, not some guy who wants to destroy the world. It's so good!

The dragons cannonically do speak as they have their own language, (dragonese) so technically toothless could sing this song, it would just sound really weird to us.

@knightofthesunlightlord DW, it's not something explained in the movies anyway, it's just one of the aspects about the books that ended up in the franchise as told in an interview. It actually only got properly told inside the franchise with a kids series made after the films finished.

God im glad I found your music. I love what you did with Hiccup and Toothless. I feel from both songs, you can tell that they both wanted Berk gone but i feel that if this became a story, something would happen with hiccup that would cause him to go insane with power. Say being a dragon emperor, ruling the world by his iron hand. And toothless would probably be one to go against this breaking the bond between the two yet still loving one another as brothers. It's a story idea but, music alone can tell a story.

okay, just listening to the start, my heart just beat with anxiety. Damn, this is touching.
Imagine this:(Toothless's POV from my story on Ashes of Berk)
It's a few days later, Hiccup's heart completely taken over by darkness, Toothless worried for his best friend began to ponder about Hiccup and how he changed. The song begans as a backstory of how Toothless have watched his own family being killed by Grimmal (cuz of httyd 3🫠) as a young hatchling. *(There will be a few flashbacks when necessary according to the lyrics)* He was the only survivor and escaped promising himself to kill every last Viking he came across. Nearing towards the end, the backstory ends with how much he appreciated his new home, but still has that heavy burden to carry alone. He was torn between his own promise and helping his best friend. But he broke his own promise to make a new promise not kill no more because of how much Hiccup shown care and love to him, but now, it's de ja vu for the Night Fury because it was too similar to his backstory. He is unfortunately torn between his new promise and his loyalty to Hiccup.
I listened to Ashes of Berk the other day and it was AMAZING! I couldn't help but use it in a video 😊

I kind of wish there was some sort of duet between them. Both of their songs seem to tell of a similar tale, being an enemy of Berk and burning it down, but they are told from 2 different perspectives.

For a second, the lyrics made me think that Hiccup turned on Toothless. I think it was a combination of the lyrics

And
1:47 "in the ashes, a story of a bond turned cold"
I thought the bond mentioned in both lyrics were the same, but given the rest of the lyrics, I assume the first lyric is refering to the bond forged between Toothless and Hiccup, while the second lyric is about Hiccup's relationship with Berk.

In this version I see Toothless gets no to late to save hiccup but stoic jumps in and is killed instead.
So Hiccup now angry with no one willing to listen has Berc burn before turning his fury on the world. If they won’t join freely then they will be forced in to submission.
Maybe it's just me being a smooth brain, but "bond turned cold" is referring to what exactly? I feel like it's Toothless having reservations about following Hiccup down the path of vengeance, though since this is a villain song I could easily see this a Toothless just being observant of Hiccup's relationship with humanity/Berk.

Hm, both these songs tell a story about Hiccup and Toothless destroying Berk in revenge, but do you have idea for villain songs for other characters, either as parts of those events or theri own story arcs? Villain Valka comes to mind, and other dragons from across the movies and series could easily fit in too.
