Ooh, the trouble will be trying to hook up an older lap top to new monitors or vice versa. I returned at least $100 in cables until I was able to connect my laptop to two monitors. Are you still looking into doing a portable monitor review? I’m looking to get one about the size of my laptop (16”) to use when I am away from my home/office setup.
Oh yeah I can see how that would be a problem. I kinda over did it with buying new tech lately. I am looking into it but I don't plan on buying anything else new for now honestly. I'm still working on two more review with some wireless electric clippers and wireless electric mowers. But I really do appreciate the suggestion! I try to only review products I can use myself to keep the reviews genuine. So if I find a need for it I'll keep you in mind for sure.

I’m using a hdmi cable to my first monitor, and I bought the cable (vga to usb) for my second one. I installed de driver and I was able to display both monitor, but for the second monitor is detected in a different resolution and I’m not able to change it because the option to do it is grey out. Your help will be really appreciate

i have some questions. Does it work if i use USB to HDMI or USB-C to HDMI or does it only work if i use USB to VGA? AND does it have some kind of delay for the 2nd external monitor because it uses a USB to VGA converter?
Any adapter will work as long our computers are compatible with the output. USB ports are for input only normally so it'll require buying additional adapters. Besides using two or more adapters or cords it's better to use one that supports video output like display port, VGA and HDMI. But if you only have USB ports you could try a USB to HDMI and just have an additional HDMI to HDMI handy because you'll need both.
im using right now is a tv (hdmi to vga converter) and im planning to have another hdmi monitor(not tv), coz my laptop has a usb c slot on it, question is will it expand my screen both the tv and the hdmi monitor?
Yeah sure, since TVs and computer monitors both work the same.

Yes, that's correct. Just need a VGA to VGA cable. They're around $6.

It depends on if you have an HDMI port on the computer. If you do you'll just need one adapter for one monitor. Since you can use any HDMI cord you have for the other monitor.
How do you do it with no usb? Just the vga on two sides and done.
If the monitor(s) has a VGA port you'll just need a VGA to VGA cable. They're usually under $10. If the monitor(s) doesn't have a VGA port but a HDMI one you'll need a VGA to HDMI cable. They're cheap as well.

Yes, it'll work on any laptop with USB ports

I don't think so because most laptops only have one HDMI port. The method in this video needs that one HDMI for one monitor than just one of the USB ports for the second. This is the best way to me, less stuff you have to buy.
Next time can you show us what you plugged into the laptop…was it the Hdmi or the plug with the pins or the usb
I connected to the laptop to one monitor just using a normal HDMI cable. And I connected to the second monitor using a USB to VGA cable. So both are needed. I shown both of these on camera at the 0:15 - 0:34 time marks if needed.

I don't think so because it'll just make copies of the laptop screen not expand it.

No it's not normal unless it's two different types of monitors. If it is the different refresh rates on the monitors may be the issue. I'll leave the steps to change it below in this comment for you.
1. Right-click on a blank spot on your desktop. Select ‘Display Options’
2. Click on the monitor number that is causing you issues.
3. Scroll down and select ‘Advanced Display Options’
4. Select ‘Display Adapter Properties for Display’
5. Select ‘Monitor’
6. Adjust the refresh rate to 60hz (or whatever is the highest frequency that can be matched between the monitors) and click ‘Save’
If the issue continues also check the other monitor to match sure both refresh rates match.
Where to find the driver?
The link to download it normally comes with the adapter on a piece of paper inside the packaging. Since there's different companies selling them it'll be hard to pin point a certain one.

@@dpirate hi, im a bit confused haha. So you plug the hdmi chord (with hdmi ports on both ends) to one monitor and the laptop and then the usb to vga into the laptop then into the other monitor? AND is there software to install for both cables or just the usb to vga? Sorry for the long question lol
You're right on the first question and the software is only for the VGA cord.
