    My dad's had a Mondial t Coupe here in the UK for around 20 years - since when my brother and I could both fit in the back seats (at 37 and 35 those days are long gone!) I think you've summarised the car nicely, it's just a lot of fun, has a huge sense of occasion and - crucially - can be enjoyed by a family. The whole Mondial range isn't deserving of the reputation it seems to have gathered, as you've discovered it's a lovely car to drive, the steering and ride are highlights for me and of course the engine is the star of the show. It's part of our family, and we love it. Thanks for making the video, that yellow Cabrio looks superb.

    I had previously watched Doug's video on this car and now have just finished watching Kennan's. I am not sure which of the two videos I like best. I think Kennan's video edges out Doug's by a very small margin. Amazing how much you've improved, Kennan!! Please keep up the excellent work! Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.

    Kennen rases a good point. It was the only full convertible in the line up. If you had kids and your holiday vila was up in the hills above a medieval port this would have been one of THE options of the day to drive down to your boats. Like the 928, not what ridged minds wanted, just what they needed. Another win for the doug cypher, great car.

    Hey there Kennan! Well, the Mondial, ah the Mondial. as hated as the 911 with the fried egg front lamps. I have to say that I like really the coupe. It's far more attractive, particularly with the original wheels, designed previously for high end FIAT sedans and the legendary Ferrari Dino. That one in dark Ferrari blue in my opinion is the pretty one, considering too that it was Designed by Bertone, the studio which designed no other than the Miura among other legendary automobiles. But without doubt, the most attractive thing on this video is that the cloth you use normally to avoid dirt on your knees, matches exactly the colour of the car. That, pal is real attention to detail. Forget about Pagani or Spyker. All hail Kennan knee clothes!! As always, much love from West Spain my friend 🙂

    Kennan is cool dude and a true car guy. Great stuff. However. Mondial is important part of Ferrari history and a genuine Ferrari for sure. I just can't get over how long the rear is. It looks really weird. It's not ugly, just strange looking car with those proportions but that's what gives it some personality too. But it's way less apparent on the convertible. I'm not sure if a Testarossa is any more beautiful, it looks strange too but it just became an icon because of Miami Vice. Otherwise it could be one of the "lesser loved" models too. Cheers.

    Great video… thanks! As I commented on Mr. DeMuro’s video… “I fell in love with this Ferrari in the movie ‘Weird Science” (also that 928). The next time was when, fellow Canadian, Micheal J. Fox bought one new… once he began making some of that ‘Hollywood’ kinda money.” Cheers.

    I really like Kennan’s more in depth videos but what is the point of making a second one after Doug’s review and not simply add Kennan as a technical co-presenter in the original video.
    It would reduce the redundancy of this video and keep the viewers interested rather than bored with a content they’ve already watched.
    I mean this in the most positive and genuine way, I like Doug and Kennan and wish them to succeed.
    Also, it would be cool for Kennan to do videos about the different powertrains on a specific car and the ones to have or avoid etc

    • @paintrayn89
      @paintrayn89 Год назад +4

      A few reasons
      1- they know people who are interested in both Doug's and Kennan's opinions will watch both videos.
      1a- people who don't like Kennan would be angry at Doug's video if Kennan was in it.
      2- the two channels audiences do not overlap entirely and there will be a number of viewers who only watch this one because they found it through the listing on Cars and Bids, and are interested in bidding on the car.
      3- this channels primary purpose (and Doug's channel's secondary purpose) is to advertise for the Cars and Bids website.
      Perhaps they felt this car needed extra special incentive for people to be interested enough to meet the high reserve the owner may have insisted on, so two videos might mean more people decide "this IS a cool car, and I want one."
      Or doug just really really liked this car and all of my theories mean nothing.

    Growing up in NYC in the early 90's, this was the disappointment Ferrari for me. Someone would go, "OMG, there is a Ferrari" and in those days that was a big deal... and then you'd get disappointed as you'd realize that it was 'just a Mondial' :)
