Hi there Dirk, thank you for watching, I appreciate you popping by and leaving me a lovely comment. Oh yes, I was determined to have the framing in paint, it took a lot longer to do, but worth the extra effort. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊
That is a great looking Hornet, again the way you take the time to make everything match and look absolutely amazing show how much you love these builds. It seems like every build you relive your days as a younger man running the Tamiya line. Thanks for the videos I truly enjoy everyone I watch. 👍👍👍💥
Hi there Al and thank you so, so much for the lovely comment, you're too kind 😉. This was always going to be a sentimental build, the Hornet is the one that started this all off for me. I just love the absorbing nature of building and creating of these amazing models, in this age of modern gaming and computers, the art of building and creating, performing simple mechanics and electronics, is being lost. I so wish more of the younger generation would get involved in this creation and seductive world of RC. Best wishes to you and the family my good friend.😉😊
Hi there Luke, thank you for popping by and watching, I appreciate it my friend. I was determined to get this one right, this time around 🕺🏼mind you, an extra 38 years of life experience may have helped 😂🤣😉🖐️Best wishes to you and the family 😊😉👍😎
Hi there Steve, thank you for watching, I really appreciate you popping by. I am hoping to get some slightly better tyres for the car, so that I can run on tarmac, as the rear spikes will certainly wear down super quick 🫣😊. But yes, certainly going to get some running with this lovely Hornet, going to savour the moment (oh, going to also hook the XOSS on it to see what it typically would have been like, speed wise 😉😊). Best wishes to you and the family 😉😊😉
Man.... that turned out spectacular!!! You did a really great job with it John and I love the simple red pinstripes on it! Very simple but very racy and sharp looking! You turned a Hornet into a sports car!!
Hi Addam, thank you for watching and popping by, I really appreciate it my friend. Yeah, I was thinking as a 13 year old and that the stripes would make it go faster! 😂🤣😂that stripes thingy was all the rage back then and even when I was 17 years old and got my first full size car 🤣😂. A Hornet that is going 30mph just sitting there 🤣😂🤣 (well that was in my imagination anyway 🫣😎😂🤣) best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊
Hi there Derek, thank you for watching, I appreciate you popping by and leaving me a lovely comment. Hi there, thank you for watching, I appreciate you popping by and leaving me a lovely comment. I wanted to grab the original black, but with a sporty go faster stripes look. Best wishes to you and the family😊😉😊
Fantastic tutorial on the body John! Loved it! Great explainer video on dealing with cutting out the polycarbonate. Still not a fan overall myself but I’m starting to feel much more confident in getting the results I want. Love the final look too! And you’re right that colour on the rims works really well!
Hi Freddy, thank you for watching and leaving a lovely comment. Sorry I’m a bit delayed, I’ve been on a family vacation 😊😉. I can honestly say that the Hornet is a wonderful little iconic piece of Tamiya history, such a nostalgic journey 😊😎😊Best wishes to you and the family 😉😊

I wanted to also have the bars painted in silver and not those decals 😊😉😊best wishes to you and the family 😉😊😎
@@mikesrcgarage I Mike, thank you again for watching my Hornet build, this one is ready for the run, I’m just looking to get some rear road tyres, so that I don’t destroy those spikes 😉😎😉running will happen my friend. This is a true memory lane build for me. Best wishes to you and the family 😉😎😉

Hi there, thank you for watching and I appreciate you popping by. If you use the score and snap method, please do take care and take your time. The secret is a new blade, lightly score around first, then 2nd score, ensuring you stay in the first score path. Then snap, you’re done. Best wishes 😊😉😊
