    "Proficient" is a triple point scrabble word 👏 👏 👏 👏😄😄😄😄😄 great vid! Thaaaaaaanks!!!

    • @the.mermaid.scientist
      @the.mermaid.scientist Год назад +2

      It is worth 17 points at face value; however to make it an acceptable move in Scrabble, you would need to add FICIENT to PRO already on the board. Then you would get at least 67 points depending which letters fall on a x2 or x3 letter score square.... {for those still reading, you get bonus +50 if you use all 7 tiles in your turn.} So yeah, if you land on a x3 word score square, that will be ~101 points. Sorry for the long off topic response; I am a moderately okay Scrabble player and your comment caught my eye 😉

    Just wanted to comment on the ingredients in Swipe. I know that MJay said it's not alcohol, that it's astringent and acetone, but the first ingredient on the bottle is actually Isopropyl Alcohol followed by Dimethyl Ketone (aka Acetone) and then water and colour. Many nail cleansers/dehydrators are a combination of Alcohol and Acetone.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад +1

      Swipe isn't just straight alcohol, rather a combination that pulls the surface oils from the nail but leaves the proper Ph level for product to adhere to. We do not recommend using just straight alcohol as this will not give the correct Ph level to the nail and can leave "buffers" that can interfere with adhesion.

Love the length, the perfect way the French tip lines are and everything in general/ tips to get full coverage to stay in my flat beds without all the glue seeping out everywhere and where my fingers tips are. And do you guys have HEMA FREE products

    • @youngnailsinc

      Our acrylic monomer and hard gels do not contain HEMA, but the Protein Bond does. It is a low concentration that generally does not lead to allergic reactions though.

    I have a question about mixing glitters. How do I create them using glitters like "without further ado", "zinger", "vetted" etc. They're more of a matte finish? Would they look funky with a mix of metallic/ iridescent etc. Or would it be better to stick with all matte finish with different cuts/sizes. Or maybe matte and one other finish like metallic or whatever. I am in love with some of them but don't know what to do with them! Also, I wish you guys would mention what you have on your own nails in the videos!! You guys are all THE BEST.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад +1

      You can definitely go for it mixing iridescent and metallic with the matte finish ones. It give it a nice dimension!

    Regarding the efile …So are you turning it down before you flip rotation direction? Or can you do that while speed is up? I’m always afraid to change directions while it’s spinning…like that might be rough on motor…
    Any insight?

    If you truly want sound, tried, and true education, use YN videos. It's extremely frustrating trying to figure out nuances with details. For example, correlation between a bit and file grit or band. I'm SO thankful for YN because they give back through education, which is extremely valuable.

    Hi, love ya'll! When filing my dominate hand (right) with the safety bit do I need to put the drill in reverse?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад +2

      if you are right handed and you are e-filing your right hand using your left, you switch to reverse depending on which way your right hand is facing. If that makes sense. If you have your fingers bent downward into your palm like almost making a fist, you use reverse. If you work on your right hand while it is flat facing away from you keep it in forward.

    New to YN. I know Black Friday sale just happened but how often can I expect to be blowing entire paychecks on YN sales? Is it a monthly, bi-monthly, no rhyme or reason kinda thing?

    • @youngnailsinc

    Is the hand piece of the YN E-FILE heavy or pretty light?

    • @the.mermaid.scientist
      @the.mermaid.scientist Год назад +1

      The hand piece weighs approximately 146g = 5.19 oz. So it is heavy compared to generic efiles like ones you'd find on amazon for $20 or so.

      Dimensional nails take a lot of layers so you would want to do this like she did but with acrylic instead of hard gel and do layers and encapsulating.

    I'm just getting to watching this and I'm thoroughly confused. At around the 35 min mark, u guys say that Swipe isn't alcohol, but rather astringent. I'm looking at both of my bottles of Swipe and Isopropyl Alcohol is the main ingredient.
