I almost pulled the trigger on of these, but the lack of run space is what kept me from buying one. If it just sat around my wife would drive me crazy running her mouth as to why i wasn't running it enough. Dope car man

The great thing about the rally is that it can also be driven off road as well....mcd makes ofroad tires for it as well...so you have both options. On road and offroad.

That RC Looks awesome and Halls A$$..Lately I've got bit by the RC BUG..I'm looking to buy one soon..Something to pass time At truckstops and distribution centers I deliver too...some places have 100s of acres of pavement, with long straight aways to run an RC like this one..COOL VIDEO

I've watched several of these cars being built. About every power source people use. That car is like a work of art in build quality.. You can tell all you need from that speed run. You have that thing set up to run laser straight. That speed run was flawless. I may end up with one of these. If I'm gonna spend that much $$$ I think it's gonna be a road car. I'd rather take a chance on it living a little longer than all these raminators and the others that big. Not that a pole or a flip at 100mph won't bring it home in 5 gal buckets.

I'd probably total it and then cry...lol. I've been driving RCs for about 40 years and have always wanted a road car. How has the ESC held up? I am thinking about the MTM ESC. Originally was looking at 1/8 scale gas cars but they can't touch the LiPo performance and although I love the Nitro, I don't like the mess, cleanup, glow plugs, etc.... 8S is as far as I've gone with RC (XMaxx basher and a Blackjack 42 insane boat). I myself started off with 1/10 and 1/8th scale as well...but I promise you....the bigger the car. The easier it is to drive because of the weight and the quality.

@paintendaveextremecollisio8057 I did a whole rebuild on the rovan f5. At the time I built that.....wasn't no Rovan Rally...there was only an MCD rally. I explain the difference between the two in another video. That rally started out as a brushless rovan f5...but it has an extend chassis to fit the McD rally body as well as a whole MCD drivetrain because they use ball bearings and not dogbones...makes for a smother, stronger, faster drive train as there is no resistance.
Yes...I work on all of my cars...that way when something isn't right..I know it before it breaks. The only thing I don't do is paint. Pitdawg hydros is my paint man. And yes...Dallas, Texas
It started life as a rovan f5...it has full mcd drive train....and been extended using an mcd extended kit. Body is another 300...so all together I've got about 1300 total in the car, but that was about 2 years ago...now it's more practical to just get a mcd rally...back then they were about 1800 total.
Truthful....not much....different gearing...I've done 121 mph with my other build of the same platform....58 tooth spur gear instead of a 60 tooth on 12s...I'll be at like 107

Usually Sundays is way better, but I went out there on a Saturday.....I've ran 121mph on this same road with a different car.

Lol...that is true....gearing is very limited to the mcd...that was with a 63 tooth spur..with a 58 tooth spur...I've gotten up to 121mph on 14s.
