I’m planning on cleaning my sega Genesis controller. Do I need to wear an ESD strap and use an ESD bag for the circuit board? I’m a bit scared to thoroughly clean my electronics because I’m scared I might accidentally damage the parts

Okay now I've just opened my model 2 controller bought yesterday and it's the back-of-the-PCB version. What do you know.
